Chairman
Construction Industry Council
It is with great pleasure that I warmly welcome all distinguished guests, sponsors,
exhibitors, delegates and visitors participating in the Construction Innovation
Expo 2019.
The Construction Industry Council (CIC) has been striving to promote and
facilitate sustainable development of the construction industry in Hong Kong. As
an effort to promote industrialisation and innovation, the CIC has in recent years,
established the Construction Innovation and Technology Application Centre, CIC
Construction Innovation Award, CIC BIM Space, DfMA Alliance, and the MiC
Display Centre to equip the construction community and to arouse the its
awareness to innovative solutions.
We have more than 220 local and overseas exhibitors participating in this
Construction Innovation Expo 2019 to showcase their products on construction
innovation on four key themes: Offsite Construction, Robotics and Automation,
Digital Solutions, and Advanced Technologies & Materials. World leaders on BIM,
MiC, DfMA, robotics and automation would deliver inspiring keynote
presentations on these subjects in the 3-day International Conference, as part of
the Expo. We believe the exhibition and the conference would stimulate further
innovation initiatives and applications, to benefit the construction industry.
We look forward to working closely with all stakeholders of the construction
industry to make it safer, more productive and more sustainable.
