Helping the Allies• Early 1940s- U.S. does not want to

officially join the war (Europe’s Problem… heard this before!)

• The only problem is that FDR and other gov’t officials really do want to help out

• Lend-Lease Act- give the British: planes, tanks, weapons, food anything to help them out.
