Contest Rulesn You must be an OSCON 2012 attendee and have a valid badge. Expo Hall Only pass holders, media, event staff

and crew, exhibitor booth staff (exhibitors), and employees of O’Reilly Media are not eligible to participate.

n Each attendee must collect all 20 trading cards. We’ll be marking the cards when they are turned in to ensure that they will not be used in another entry.

n Baseball shirts are available to the first 500 eligible attendees who collect all 20 trading cards. Once the baseball shirts are gone, you can still be entered into the drawing to win a bonus prize if you wish.

n You will not be required by exhibitors, sponsors, or staff members to provide any personal information to collect the cards. This includes badge scanning.

n Baseball shirt sizes subject to availability. O’Reilly Media reserves the right to cancel or modify this promotion if for any reason it cannot be conducted as described. All decisions by O’Reilly are final.

Winners will be selected by O’Reilly Media, Inc. and notified via email on or before August 2, 2012. Winners need not be present to win bonus prizes. Winners must claim prizes within 60 days of receiving notification. The email address provided is to contact winners only and will not be used by or sold to a third party.

Test your scavenger and negotiation skills at OSCON this year! We’ve created 20 unique trading cards based on all-star open source technologies and languages. The first 500 attendees to collect all 20 trading cards will win an OSCON baseball shirt—and will also be entered in a drawing to win additional bonus prizes.

These 12 trading cards can be collected from participating exhibitors in Expo Hall (see map):

These 8 trading cards will be distributed randomly at the following times and locations:

n Start with the set of 5 cards you got in your bag when you checked in at registration

n Attend Ignite on Monday (pick up card from a staff member at the door)

n Find the Forest Ranger at the Camp OSCON Party on Tuesday evening

n Participate in the Booth Crawl on Wednesday (pick up card from a staff member at the door)

n Attend Wednesday and/or Thursday keynotes (pick up card from a door monitor at the end of the presentations)

n Grab your lunch Monday–Thursday (pick up card from a staff member near the buffet line)

Unless you’re extraordinarily lucky, you will most likely need to trade a few cards with other attendees playing the game to collect all 20. Here are a few suggestions for completing your set:

n If you are collecting cards, make sure to attach the bright yellow “I’m trading” ribbon to your badge so others know they can trade with you

n Look in the Trading Card Swap bin in the registration area for cards others didn’t need. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, check back later

n Use and follow Twitter hashtag #osconallstar to tweet about the cards you need or let others know which cards you have to trade
