Mr. Know-it-all has one serious doubt; this doubt has the essence of the Biblical drunkards.

Mr. Know-it-allbelieves Wine: Good or bad? Strong drink and ... are only an infamy ofSatan's handiwork. [5:90, also 2:219]. Yet on the other hand in Paradise are rivers of wine[47:15, also 83:22-25]. How does Satan's handiwork get into Paradise?

"Alcohol is for people who are DYING, for thosewho are in MISERY. Let themdrinkand FORGET their poverty and unhappiness." (From the "Good News Bible in Today'sEnglish)" PROVERBS 31:6-7

"Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine ofteninfirmities 1 TIMOTHY 5:23

With such instructions in a book, being called as a book of God, how can we Muslims

believe in that book? We dont believe that such instructions could be of God theAlmighty; instead it is from the Satan (see my paper Titled why not the Bible) Let us goback to the question.

The reward of paradise contains rewards the like of which no eye has seen not has anyear heard not has ever occurred upon the hearts of humanity (Hadeeth Qudsi).

Let us read Quran 5:90. O you who believe! Intoxicants (all kinds of alcoholic drinks),gambling, Al-Ansb, and Al-Azlm (arrows for seeking luck or decision) are an abominationof Shaitn's (Satan) handiwork. So avoid (strictly all) that (abomination) in order that you maybe successful. SadakhAllah alazeem

047:015 (Here is) aParable of the Gardenwhich the righteous are promised: in it are riversof water incorruptible; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wine, a joy tothose who drink; and rivers of honey pure and clear. In it there are for them all kinds of fruits;and Grace from their Lord. (Can those in such Bliss) be compared to such as shall dwell forever in the Fire, and be given, to drink, boiling water, so that it cuts up their bowels (topieces)?

056:019 No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they sufferintoxication

03:.047 Free from headiness; nor will they sufferintoxicationtherefrom

In the face of such bliss, how do you tell people what awaits them? You give themdescriptive terms that bring the issues closer to their understanding. For example,Muhammad (47):15 describe the water of Heaven as never putrefying, the milk as neverchanging in taste (going sour), etc. In a similar fashion, the wine of Paradise does notcontain the very ingredient which has made it prohibited in this life, specificallyintoxicants. You can read the confirmation of this, for example, in Al-Saffat (37):45-47, orAl-Wakiah (56):19.

In the USA it is a crime to drink beer then drive. The wisdom behind this law is that itimpairs judgment. Does this mean that if one were to drink "root-beer" or "ginger ale"then the law will stand? Of course not. Why? Because they are not "intoxicants." Theprohibition in Islam is because of the "intoxicating" action and not because of the name.

. I will be happy to clarify any doubts from my Christian friends in particular and all others in general. Fareed Siddique

If someone were to create a new kind of beer and choose not to call it "beer" but to nameit "Zima," would this make it lawful to drink it then drive? No, the name has no bearing onthe law; it is only the intoxicating action which is at issue. If it is present then it is unlawful,if it is not then it is lawful, regardless of the name. This is the same as the law of Islam. InIslam the name does not matter, it is the intoxicants which make it prohibited, be it named"beer," "wine," "alcohol," "heroin," "whiskey," "marijuana," or whatever. Stop thedrunkards in whatever name they sell the intoxicant!

O my Learned Christian readers and Mr. Know-it-all, do you really want to turn your faceaway from the truth? Would you take man-made lies instead of truth of Islam in your lives?do you have any sense of reason? Do they have any thinking-heads? Does God stop youfrom thinking reasonably? Or would you like to regret in the hereafter.

They will say, "If only we had really listened and used our intellect, we would not have beenCompanions of the Blaze." (Noble Quran, Surat al-Mulk: 10) or would the followers of St.Paul like to regret!

O Mr. Know-it-all!Respond to your Lord before a Day comes from Allah [],which cannot be turned back. On that Day you will have no hiding-place and no means ofdenial. (Noble Quran, Surat ash-Shura: 47)

I invite you, O my Christian readers, to use your intellect and be a true believer, a truthfulsubmitter to your God Allah ]. May Allah] [] bestow upon you his mercyand help you understand the fallacies of the Christian Pauline religion of Saul of

    Tarus...Ameen, ya Rabbiziljalaal.

Allah [] makes it very evident for you "W e shall show them Our signs on thehorizons and within themselves until it will become clear to them that it is the Truth. Does itnot suffice that your Lord is Witness over all things?" The noble Qur'an, Fussilat (41):53.

"Verily! this Qur'an guides to that which is most upright, and gives glad tidings to thebelievers who work deeds of righteousness that theirs will be a great reward" The nobleQur'an, Al-Isra (17):9Sadakhallah alazeem.
