Presented by the ChicagoMSDC and Allstate, the 53rd Annual Chicago Business Opportunity Fair will be held April 8-9, 2020 at the far east end of Chicago’s Navy Pier.

The Chicago Business Opportunity Fair is the largest procurement conference on minority supplier development in the Midwest region and the longest-running in the nation. For two consecutive days, more than 1,000 corporate CEOs, procurement executives and supplier diversity professionals from top multinational companies, as well as leading Asian, Black, Hispanic and Native American business owners and international organizations will convene in Chicago, Illinois.

REGISTRATION GUIDANCEChicago Business Opportunity Fair connects certified minority businesses and corporate members of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). CBOF welcomes individual guests, start ups, young entrepreneurs, small businesses, corporations, assist agencies, and government buying organizations to engage in the conference.

CATEGORIESIf you would like to register for one person or one single event, please use the Individual Registration / Non-Exhibitor registration category. If you would like to register more than one person from the same company, please use the Multiple Registrations / All Options selection.

PARTICIPATION There are four participation categories for company registration that determine the fees.• C1 | NMSDC Certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) in good standing.• C2 | Supplier or Affiliate. Any business without an NMSDC Certification ID#. Any not-for profit affiliate, partner, resource organization, or assist agency.• C3 | Corporation, NMSDC Member in good standing.• C4 | Corporation, Non-Members. Public or private buying organization that is not a dues-paying NMSDC member.

FULL CONFERENCEThe easiest way for individuals to participate is to secure a Full Conference registration. Full Conference registration includes access to all primary events including...developmental workshops, workshop luncheon, ChicagoMSDC Gala, Sponsors Breakfast, and Trade Fair. Corporate 1-on-1s and supplier integration program events are excluded, and require separate registration fees.

INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATIONSingle event tickets may be purchased as ala carte selections.

EXHIBITORSThe Trade Fair will host at least 150 exhibitor spaces. Each standard booth includes a 10’x10’ space and two booth staff managers. Booth staff managers only have access to the Trade Fair. Exhibitors can expand their spaces for larger spaces. Expanded booth space is charged per additional 10 feet space.

SPONSORSLevel Sponsorships offer high visibility, exclusive participation, reserved seating for specific events, and Full Conference registration in one consolidated package. All Level Sponsors receive at least one Full Conference access pass. Every Full Conference access pass should be associated with one attendee’s name and e-mail. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available and include Trade Fair exhibitor space, wish list items, or specific event sponsorship may also be available. Workshops | Wednesday, April 8thBuyers and suppliers are invited to attend the educational workshops. Development sessions offer insights and practical strategies for increasing business competency, developing contracting opportunities, and expanding knowledge of hot topics impacting the minority business community. Workshops are open to all registrants.

Corporate 1-on-1s | Wednesday, April 8thCorporate 1-on-1 meetings allow buying organizations to identify their upcoming purchasing needs and hold private sessions with suppliers to initiate or accelerate introductions for contracts. Meetings are 15 minutes each and allow participating MBEs to present a streamlined value proposition, leaving time for follow up or questions from the buying organization.

ChicagoMSDC Gala | Wednesday, April 8thDress-to-impress for this year’s formal Gala. Join us for a lively reception and dinner as the Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee (MBEIC) recognizes the 2020 outstanding buyers, successful suppliers, community advocates, and scholarship winners. During this event, corporate buyers and procurement officials hold 15-minute private meetings with qualified,

certified minority business enterprises (MBEs). This year’s Corporate 1-on-1 event will engage at least 50

corporations and 200 minority suppliers in a wide spectrum of industries.

Eligibility:Corporate 1-on-1 meetings are designed to match qualified suppliers with large buying organizations. To participate,

suppliers must be certified minority businesses and registered for the conference. Please contact us if you have any

questions about eligibility.

Corporate Buyers:• Set up your own schedule of meetings.

• Review profiles of suppliers in advance of meetings.

• Receive a private list of certified minority suppliers based on industry or buying needs.

• Meet with owners or chief executives of qualified suppliers.

• Communicate purchasing categories, cycles, and opportunities.

• Share corporate standards and procurement processes.

Certified MBEs:• Use matchmaking software to create and manage your profile.

• Accept invitations to meet with corporate representatives.

• Research the corporations prior to scheduled meetings.
