5TH SUNDAY OF EASTER/YOUTH SUNDAYApril 24, 2016 | 11:00 am Worship

WELCOMEWelcome to all who are worshipping with us. Child care for children through Kindergarten is available during this service in building D. Consult an usher if you need an assistive hearing device or a large-print bulletin. As we enter a holy space and time this morning, please silence your cell phones. Following worship, you are invited for a time of conversation and refreshments in Williams Hall.

The opening voluntary is the call to silent meditation and preparation for worship.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION Alex GraceyAll: Lord, you have called us to be a family of faith—to love each other as brothers

and sisters in Christ. But often we fail to treat one another with kindness, respect, and love. We speak words that damage others, we struggle to accept those who are different from us, and we continue to put ourselves first.

Silent confession

One: Forgive us, we pray. All: Guide us through these challenges and help us to be the family of Christ. As

your children, help us to reflect your love to everyone in this church, in this community, and in this world. Amen.

ASSURANCE OF PARDON Henry Trapnell

TRINITY EXPLORESCriminal Justice ReformMay 127:00 pm, B104-106

During the past two decades, the prison population in Georgia has more than doubled to nearly 56,000 inmates. Seeking new ways to protect public safety while controlling the growth of prison costs, the 2011 Georgia General Assembly and Governor Nathan Deal established the Special Council on Criminal Justice Reform for Georgians. In this class, learn about the reforms of the Special Council on Criminal Justice Reform for Georgians from Co-Chairs Thomas Worthy, Esq., Director of Governmental Affairs, State Bar of Georgia and The Honorable Michael Boggs, Judge, Georgia Court of Appeals.
