The Use of ICTs in Travel & Tourism industry

ICT enhanced the development of modern tourism. In other words said the use of ICTs has spread the travel and tourism industry.

Provided new tools and enabled new distribution channels.

The Aim The aim of this research is to find out some

weak points of tourism in Bulgaria by assessing and comparing it with other tourist destinations on the base of set of indicators for sustainable development and to suggest some aspects of ICT that can help solve that problems and support viability and sustainability of tourism in Bulgaria.

On the base of some of the above mentioned indicators the development of tourism in Bulgaria will be analyzed for the period 2000-2014 by comparison with other tourist destinations trying to find an answer to the question whether the Bulgarian tourism can be characterized as sustainable.
