7 ways to kill innovation
TREATING INNOVATION
AS „TO DO” TASK
Creativity and innovation is kind of a (business) lifestyle. You can’t just schedule it in your daily agenda.
FEAR OF FAILURE
Failure is not the end stage of the innovation process. It’s a part of it. Don’t cry. Accept it and try again.
WAITING FOR MIRACLE
Nobody will come to save you. Even all the consultancies want to save them at first. You have all the power to make things happen. Just stop talking and start doing.
KNOWING BEST
Being an expert is one thing. Being an open minded expert is another. Do not preassume that you know everything. Learn, observe and co-create.
BUYING INNOVATION
In most of the cases solutions that works for one company won’t work for you. Do not buy innovation. Get involved in the process and create it.
HOMOGENEITY
It is easier to create and asess ideas only with your teammates. The only point is that most of the disruptive idea comes from diversity.
Invite to the process your customers, partners and people from different areas of your business.
IMMEDIATE ROI
It is imporant to measure business performance and revenue, but take into consideration that innovation takes time.
Almost nothing is working perfectly right after implementation.
