About the OSA Crusaders Summer Select GIRLS Program The OSA Crusaders are excited to bring you the BEST summer girls basketball program in the state of Nebraska, and we just keep getting better! OSA Crusaders Girls Select Program is proud to announce our new partnership with adidas, making us Nebraska's ONLY fully sponsored girls’ select program!

The ADIDAS UPRISING Gauntlet series will provide our top U16 and U17 players an opportunity that very few girls in Nebraska have had before and that only 32 teams across the country are invited to attend! They will play the best competition in front of college coaches from around the country, giving our athletes maximum exposure during each of the NCAA live periods. As an added bonus, it will also allow them to be nominated for the ADIDAS UPRISING All-American Camp and the ADIDAS UPRISING U.S. Select team. All of these opportunities are exclusive to the 32 ADIDAS UPRISING sponsored teams, and our OSA Crusader girls are thrilled to be a part of this.

“Omaha Sports Academy has had a huge impact on the level of High School Girls basketball in the state of Nebraska. The thing that I have noticed about our girls that have played for OSA is that they come back with improved skills and a better understanding of how to play team basketball. I am always excited when I hear that one of our girls is going to play for OSA because I know they are going to be treated fairly while being held to a high standard of excellence. The program that OSA has put together is second to none.” – Josh Siske, Papillion LaVista Head Girls Varsity Coach

So how does this exciting news impact the OSA Program?

U16 and U17 GAUNTLET TEAMS Our top U17 team will compete in the Platinum Gauntlet, and our top U16 team will compete in the Gold Gauntlet, with the chance to be crowned adidas National Champions! The OSA Gold and Platinum Gauntlet teams will compete in two weekends of league play. The first two events will seed teams for the National Championship Bracket, at one of the most prestigious exposure venues in the country, the adidas Summer Championships in Atlanta, GA.

adidas All-America Camp - Portland, OR The Our adidas sponsorship will give these players the

opportunity to be chosen to participate in the adidas All-America Camp in Portland, OR. Adidas is the only shoe company to put substantial funds into running a GIRLS camp of this kind. Chosen players will have their travel and lodging paid for and receive an abundance of exclusive adidas gear! The adidas All-America Camp is attended by almost every National scouting service and also by USA Basketball representatives!

adidas Select Team USA - Overseas Trip Each year 12 players are chosen from the adidas All-America Camp for an all-expense paid trip to Europe to play games against foreign competition. In 2017, the team visited and competed in Italy. Most of the shoe companies offer up a trip like this for their boys’ sponsored programs, but adidas is the only company to give girls this once in a lifetime opportunity!

U15 - U17 PREMIER TEAMS Over the last several years, the OSA Crusaders program has developed into one that has proven to be a great opportunity for all of its participants. OSA Crusaders Premier teams will have outstanding coaches, develop as sound basketball players, and will be exposed to significant recruiting opportunities. The U15 Premier team will compete in 5 summer tournaments, and the U16-U17 Premier teams will compete in 9-10 tournaments throughout the Spring/Summer season. The OSA Premier experience is a great opportunity for multi-sport athletes and will provide players a successful avenue to recruiting opportunities and growth as basketball players!

U13 - U15 NATIONAL TEAMS Our top U13-U15 teams will compete in a combination of ADIDAS UPRISING Gauntlet events, national level tournaments, and NCAA certified viewing events. Our schedule will be extremely competitive and give our

athletes maximum exposure opportunities. In addition, our teams will continue to be exposed to the highest level of skill development of any program in the Midwest! OSA National teams will be coached by highly qualified coaches who are committed to developing and preparing our players for the next level. U13 and U14 PREMIER TEAMS The 7th-8th grade teams will play 9-10 tournaments between April and August. Tournaments will be a mix of MAYB tournaments and other credible tournaments that are within driving distance. This set of teams can count on great coaches who put development ahead of winning. Coach Terrence Phox from which ALL players will benefit greatly.

3rd – 4th Grade TEAMS The emphasis of the 3rd – 4th grade girls summer select program will be for these young athletes to develop fundamental skills and an understanding of the game through intensive skill academies, team practices, and competition.

Our team practices will provide athletes an opportunity to continue individual skill development as well as an understanding of offensive, defensive, and transition concepts. In addition to our weekly practice, we will hold Skills Academies throughout the spring and summer months, which will be administered by OSA Professional Staff and the OSA Elite Skills Training Staff. These sessions will be solely dedicated to individual player development in which players will focus on various essential fundamentals and skills.

The last component of the summer program is the competition wherein our teams will participate in five - six tournaments. The games will provide athletes an opportunity to put into action the skills and concepts learned in the team practices and skill academies. Tournaments will be a combination of local and regional tournaments. 3rd – 4th Grade Format:

"The player experience at OSA is second to none. The coaching and training they receive has contributed immensely to the growth of the individual skill level of our players and their ability to compete at the highest levels of high school basketball. I am so grateful for the work OSA has put in to benefit basketball in the state of Nebraska." - Dave Diehl, Millard North Head Girls Varsity Coach

“One of the best things about OSA is their emphasis on the fundamentals and player skill development. I’ve been playing for this program for 7+ years and there’s no question that I am where I am today because of the coaching staff and the way they teach the sport. It’s evident that the coaches truly care about every player because they push and encourage us to strive to be the best we can be. I look forward to every practice because I always learn something new that I can apply to my game and use to better myself as an athlete.” - Nicole Avila-Ambrosi, Millard North Sophomore

SPRING/SUMMER SELECT PROGRAM STRUCTURE Leadership/Coaching: The OSA Crusader program high school directors include Brittany Wilson (OSA Girls Coordinator), Tom Krehbiel (Boys Town Head Coach), and Marc Kruger (Millard West Head Coach). The youth

program is led by the OSA professional staff, including Brittany Wilson, Charles Thompson, Trey Altenhofen, and Terrence Phox, with direct supervision and oversight from Bob Franzese. Our coaches and leadership group is as good as it gets and committed to working with your athlete to enable them to be the best they can be while teaching them a love and desire for the game of basketball. OSA teams can count on experienced coaches who put development first. The OSA program’s focus is to strengthen and improve each athlete’s individual skill set through attention to detail instruction, intense repetitions in practices, and competitive experiences. Our select coaches are highly qualified and are under the direct tutelage of our professional staff.

Practices: OSA Staff is always learning cutting edge trends and is not afraid to educate themselves on a continued basis. In past years, OSA professional staff members have attended the Thunder, Spurs, and Cavs training camps, have been guests at the highly prestigious College Point Guard Camp (PGC), Metro Basketball Coach Athletics, and collegiate and high school practices. The objective is for our players to be consistently exposed to the newest ideas and current trends in basketball, allowing us to incorporate these trends into our highly successful core fundamental and schematic training. You can count on OSA practices to be crisp, professionally run, and productive for each athlete. Practice time will focus on skill development as well as offensive and defensive team concepts. Players will be pushed both physically and mentally, yet still have fun each time they attend. Our unique practice format allows for each player to focus on five key areas at

each practice: shooting/scoring, defensive principles, transition, ball handling, and offensive team principles. One of our professional staff will be directly involved and hands-on with your child’s team practices.

Practice Schedules: Typically, 3rd – 7th Grade Girls practices will typically be held on Saturday mornings and Tuesday or Wednesday evenings in April and May. U14-U17 Girls practices will be held on Sunday afternoons/evenings and Wednesday or Thursday evenings in April and May. We recognize that high school programs typically hold their camps, clinics and summer leagues in June. As a result, U14 – U17 team practices will be minimal during June to allow players to participate with their high school teams. All U14 – U17 girls’ teams will practice daily June 26th thru July 1st. Players are still encouraged to attend the Mon/Thurs Skills Academies. Complete schedules will include June and July practices, and will be handed out at the Parent/Player Meetings. Summer Select Skills Academy: These academies serve as a great compliment to team practices and the tournaments we play. While competition and regular team practices are very important, our Summer Select Skills Academies are what put our players over the top, with an emphasis on developing impact players from an individual skills standpoint. Specific focus includes:

• High Level Skills Instruction & Repetition • Ball Handling • Shooting• One on One Moves • Decision Making • Specific Moves • Intense Transition

"I grew up at OSA. The program has made me into the player and person I am today and I don’t know where I would be without it. I’m proud to say I played for 9 years at OSA, and the program has played a big part in my recent college interest and offers” – Jayna Green, Millard North Junior
