| 1 A CUSTOMS BROKERAGE JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: INSIDE SALES SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE Department: Sales and Marketing Reports To: Vice-President FLSA Status: Exempt Prepared Date: August 2017 Preparade by: Human Resources Summary/Objective Works very close and pro-actively with salespersons to increase sales, provide service and support for pricing, quoting, shipment information and requirements to clients and projects as part of the sales function. Provides salespersons with all tactical support required to provide exceptional service experience to internal and external clients and not afraid to challenge the status quo. The Inside Sales Support Representative is one step ahead of sales team providing logistical support for visits, follow-ups and agent’s activity updates. % Time Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and projects may be assigned. 20% Support Sales Team with CRM data entry, workflow and tasks for following up with clients and agents, including monitoring of potential activity to maintain accurate sales pipeline. 15% Provide organized data and highly synchronized schedules to Sales team to increase the productivity with clients; and support of agent service requirements. 15% Analyze sales and cost data; prepare reports as needed for Sales team; provide actionable recommendations. 10% Provide service and support to sales team and sales partners with carrier (airline, steamship line, co-loader or domestic trucking company) selection, documentation and schedule requests. 5% Schedule and organize activities such as meetings, travel, conferences and department activities for all members of the department. 5% Brand Ambassador; collaboration branding and collateral development to further advance goals aligned with our company strategy and objectives. Attend company aligned (target audience) networking events. 5% Active use of market intelligence software to identify viable sales targets and activities. 5% Gather and secure all information from client, to enable effective, timely and accurate execution of expected level of service and service type by continuous interface with sales persons, internal functions and other departments. 5% Schedule and conduct regular service and client background and commercial activity review for development of current market intelligence for the sales team. This due diligence will help the sales team to find opportunities and yield positive results align to sales goals and budget. 5% Answer phone calls to routine and non-routine calls with our clients. Takes messages and follow up accordingly with any action items from the calls. 5% Works independently and within a team on special non-recurring and ongoing projects. This may include planning and coordinating presentations, disseminating information and coordinating direct mailings. 5% Type and design general correspondences, memos, charts and graphs. Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar and layout, making appropriate change.
