Many Oracle E-Business Suite customers have or are adding Oracle Commerce (which is comprised of the legacy ATG and Endeca solutions) in order to improve their online presence and sales channel. This is in direct response to buyers searching for and making purchases outside of established processes and channels. Historically, companies have been selling to other business (B2B) or to consumers, either direct (B2C) or through an intermediary such as a distributor or a reseller (B2B2C). These traditional approaches have been disrupted and challenged by the evolution commerce over the internet and companies such as Ebay and Amazon. Companies implementing Oracle Commerce have often faced the following challenges:

• Customer orders taken through the website have to be manually re-entered in to other back-office systems. This results in a slow and error prone process for customer order fulfillment

• Customer “bill to” and “ship to” information is inconsistent between the two systems leading to inefficiencies and errors

• Customers on the website do not have accurate pricing and inventory information which can result in the purchase of another company’s product

• Customers on the website are not provided with an accurate delivery estimate

To address these challenges, we have built the Oracle EBS ATG Integration Accelerator using Oracle Fusion Middleware. The accelerator is designed to ensure:

• Customers and orders can be created in either Oracle Commerce or Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and automatically tracked in both applications

• Product catalog and pricing information is synchronized between Oracle EBS and Oracle Commerce

• Oracle Commerce can retrieve inventory information directly from Oracle EBS

Benefits of Working with the Oracle EBS ATG Accelerator from Apps Associates

• Provides your customers with consistent inventory, pricing and order data in both Oracle EBS and Oracle Commerce

• Eliminates inaccurate manual data entry and possible data entry errors

• Delivers flexibility and robustness with a scalable architecture built on enterprise SOA standards

• Accelerates implementation and reduces costs
