Roy Halston Frowick was the creator of luxury American fashion, whose groundbreaking designs still influence and inspire us today. Founded in the 1960s, the HALSTON label took the fashion industry by storm. Originally known for his innovation in millinery, Halston used his signature materials of jersey, cashmere and suede to reinvent the jumpsuit, the shirtdress, and the classic caftan, permanently leaving his mark on fashion. The 1970’s and the era of Studio 54 became synonymous with Halston’s designs. Soon after, he was named “the premier fashion designer in America” by Newsweek. Under the vision of new Chairman and CEO Ben Malka, HALSTON continues to evolve through the HALSTON HERITAGE collection - mixing legacy codes with a modern edge to create an effortless women’s collection of ready-to-wear, dresses, handbags, footwear and small leather goods.

Brian Pendleton founded CauseForce in 2002. Since then, the company has raised over $550 million for cancer and AIDS charities around the world, making it the industry’s market leader. This is done by producing first-class athletic events (primarily 2-day walks and bike rides) whereby approximately 40,000 participants this year alone will push their bodies to new limits and do something epic about the cause. As research costs continue to climb and government funding continues to dry up, CauseForce helps great causes achieve their critical missions.

“Investment Banking” teams, analyze a real-life M&A transaction scenario and present their recommendations to a “Board of Directors” comprised of seasoned M&A professionals from within the Southern California ACG community. The 2013 Southern California ACG Cup involved over 200 students from ten business schools and over 50 volunteer “Board Members” from the community. After winning their individual school competitions, ten finalist teams faced off on February 28th at Cal State Fullerton. The final three teams competed at the Toyota Automobile Museum. It was a truly rewarding experience for both the students and volunteers.

The team from The Anderson School of Business and Management at UCLA was selected as the winning team by a unanimous panel of judges votes. The team consisted of two MBA students: Zack Conroy Joseph Duronio
