– The process will require the operation centers to determine these locations of Suspected Areas and/or Areas of “Active Corrosion”.

– Communication and Training with Leakage department is required for the personnel to have the complete understanding of sites that meets the criteria or definition.

– Leakage department will be require to review each DPI created for any candidates of Active Corrosion based on the definition, and therefore communicates to the operational center reporting FOL.

– If the FOL is in agreement to the initial assessment, then the segment shall be documented onto the Suspected Area of “Active Corrosion” log book as the first step.

– The item will be discussed on the Semi-annual meeting Decision to be made whether item(s) to be upgrade to “Active

Corrosion” status by a group consensus

locations of Suspected Areas and/or Areas of “Active Corrosion”– All executed DPI’s shall be review by the designated operations

center FOL to determine any areas of candidates for Suspected Areas of “Active Corrosion” based on the definition

– Any DPI’s field involvement due to possible generalized corrosion with the operation’s center FOL shall be evaluated for a possible candidates for Areas of “Active Corrosion”

– All candidates shall be placed onto the Suspected Areas of “Active Corrosion” log as a first step

– Evaluation shall be given on a semi-annual bases Decision to be made whether item(s) to be upgrade to “Active

Corrosion” status by a group consensus

Corrosion department to determine the locations of Suspected Areas and/or Areas of “Active Corrosion”

– Any excavation and pipe line exposure with indications of sever corrosion due to deep pits, should involve the Operational Center reporting FOL and the area’s Corrosion Technician for proper measurements and classification

– Most systems with a visual observation of deep pits that have been determine to be Generalized corrosion shall be evaluated for Areas of “Active Corrosion”

– All candidates shall be placed onto the Suspected Areas of “Active Corrosion” log book as the first step

– Evaluation given on a Semi-Annual bases Decision to be made whether item(s) to be upgrade to “Active

Corrosion” status by a group consensus

– Operations Designated FOL, shall compile any areas that have a history of

significant corrosion that may not be classified as Generalized Corrosion, such as several DPI’s with Localized Corrosion in a specific locations for candidates of Areas of “Active Corrosion”

– Any Areas with a repeat of Class 1 or 2+– Any Areas with more than three main line corrosion leaks

(localize) recorded for the last 9 years– Any Areas with past history of Generalized Corrosion, with

pending or completed DPI’s in the same general area– If by historical review of data appear to meet the criteria of Areas of

“Active Corrosion”, then the segments shall be placed in “Suspected Area of “Active Corrosion Log” and review at the Semi-Annual meeting

– Decision to be made whether item(s) to be upgrade to “Active Corrosion” status by a group consensus
