    CURRICULUM

    completed prior to the beginning of the programme.

    Inputs are determined resources involves a descriptionof the types of resources available in order to deliver the

    structure include the type of personal available to directthe program.

    ' PROCESS:Focus primarily upon the actual delivers of the

    curriculum itself. What is planned to happen during theprogram and did it actually happen? Was the planned

    content actually delivered?

    OUTPUTS: Description usually focus upon

    the learning outcomes of the learners. These can

    be examined by explaining the cognitive, affective

    and psychomotor outcomes.

    FEED BACK: It determines the effectiveness of

    the programme. Study of data given in theteachers reports supplemented by interviews with

    students determines effectiveness.

    RESPONSIBILITIES OF A CURRICULUM

    CO-ORDINATOR

    Provide leadership

    Provide co-ordination and administrative support in theongoing development.

    Implementation and administration of all phases of the

    districts curriculum cycle. Provision for information session for students to assist them

    with making appropriate curriculum choices.

    Collaboration with staff to ensure appropriateimplementation of the assessment policy.

    Liaison with other educational institution or curriculumgroups and professional bodies for sharing curriculum ideas.

    Participation in and contribution to curriculum developmentin the college.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Advises the curriculum director on the curriculum areabudget.

    Conducts curriculummeetings for area as required.

    Coordinates the development of curriculum objectives

    Coordinates the process for selection of textbooks,equipment and instructional supplies for the curriculumarea.

    Acts as a resource person to district teachers on issuesin the curriculum area.

    Meets and coordinates with other curriculum areacoordinators to promote inter-disciplinary programs.
