5. PROJECT LEAD THE WAY (PLTW) COLLEGE CREDIT PROGRAM
Students may receive transcripted college credit for the PLTW Engineering courses from Missouri University of Science and Technology. There is a fee for this credit. Students must complete the first two PLTW courses (IED and POE) with an 80% or better and score at least70% on the online End of Course Final Exam provided by PLTW. Students can also receive articulated credit through St. LouisCommunity College for four of the PLTW courses upon completing of the course with an 80% .
Students may receive undergraduate credit from the Missouri University of Science and Technology for successfully completing any ofthe PLTW Biomedical Sciences courses. Students must have taken the PLTW at a certified PLTW school and received an A or B in theclass. (Presently grade assignments from the certified teacher will be accepted and recorded; in the future, performance on the nationalexam will be an additional factor). Credit will be awarded for the first year biology electives in the S&T curriculum listed below. Eachcourse is 3 credits. The fee is $250/course.

PROJECT LEAD THE WAY (PLTW) Pre Engineering and Pre Medical Programs
"Project Lead the Way (PLTW) prepares students to be the most innovative and productive leaders in Science, Technology,Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and to make meaningful, pioneering contributions to our world. PLTW partners with middleschools and high schools to provide a rigorous, relevant STEM education. Through an engaging, hands-on curriculum, PLTWencourages the development of problem-solving skills, critical thinking, creative and innovative reasoning, and a love of learning. ThePLTW middle and high school STEM educational programs give students a brighter future by providing them with a foundation andproven path to college and career success in STEM-related fields. STEM education is at the heart of today's high-tech, high-skill globaleconomy. For America to remain economically competitive, our next generation of leaders must develop the critical-reasoning andproblem-solving skills that will help make them the most productive in the world. PLTW sparks the ingenuity, creativity, and innovationwithin all of our students"
Project Lead the Way (PLTW) is a four year sequence of courses which, when combined with traditional mathematics and sciencecourses in high school, introduces students to the scope, rigor and discipline of engineering & medical curricula prior to entering college. However, those not intending to pursue further formal education will benefit greatly from the knowledge and logical thought processes thatresult from taking some or all of the courses provided in the curriculum. Students can earn college credit for all Project Lead the Way
