AGRIQUIP Ambulance Lift Design

Van Body The van body construction fitted with transparent screen on both sideTo create a safe working environment for personnel all conspicuous corners edges and surfaces are rounded and smoothened.

Insulated Floor The floor is made of a one-piece sandwich board covered by a one-piece aluminum checker plate

with skirted sides flagged 90o upwards. The floor thickness is approximately 40 mm inclusive checker plate. All joints and gaps are sealed up by water-and termite-proof sealant.

The flooring consists ofVynil Marine plywood

Polyurethane-foam GRP under-cover

Insulated Walls and RoofTo achieve maximum insulation results as well as a maximum hygienic standard at a maximum pay- load AGRIQUIP applies fiberglass-polyester-sandwich panels with a thickness of 40mmThese one- piece panels are manufactured under high pressure in a special autoclave. Roof and sidewalls are bonded together by aluminum and PVC extrusions, sealed by Silicon to prevent water seepage.

Insulated Sliding Doors The applied doors are lightweight insulated sliding door type.

2-Way Platform All sections are covered by non-skid aluminum checker plates or equivalent material.

Passenger compartmentThe passenger compartment is the designated area for personal during raising, lowering and horizontal approach of the delivery platform to the aircraft door. Compartment sidewalls provide

over the full height of the compartment so as to prevent loose goods from falling down .Access to the platform is via an inward opening swing-door at body floor level.

Front Platform with ExtensionThe front platform is attached to the passenger compartment provided with two foldable and extensible guard rails. It can be hydraulically extended. The front edge of the extension part and extensible rails are provided with non-marking rubber bumpers to protect the aircraft from damage. Maintenance bolts are provided to allow instant raising of the platform for maintenance purposes.

Lifting SystemThe lifting system is consisting of a scissors lift with adequate capacity for up to 3500 kg payload. The two main hoist hydraulic cylinders work between the scissors beams. Maintenance free bearings are applied where ever possible. The surface of the cylinder pistons is hard chromium plated. The scissors system is equipped with a mechanical maintenance Safety-Prop to keep the body in position during maintenance work.

Electrical SystemThe Hi-Lift catering truck electrical circuit is independent from the truck chassis circuit to prevent foulingup and to allow easy trouble shooting.A battery master switch is provided to allow isolation of battery formaintenance purpose.Standard voltage is 24V D/C.

Safety Interlocks are provided as following • Ignition only in Neutral gear (parking brake needs to be applied). • Remote engine stop (body control panel) only if transmission is in neutral gear • Retraction of stabilizers disabled if the van body is not in fully down position • Neutral gear “N” is interlocked with the PTO to avoid driving with engaged PTO • Van-body operations disabled if platform extension is not fully retracted • Van-body operation disabled if passenger compartment is not fully on the right. • Van-body operation disabled if power canopy is not in fully retracted position • Van-body UP/DOWN operation disabled body is not in fully reversed position • Simultaneous operations of front platform and van-body are not possible. • Automatic engine shutdown if handbrake is being released or if any other gear than “N”

is being engaged but stabilizers are not fully retracted • Automatic acoustic alarm during operation of van-body, stabilizers and during reversing

of the ambulance lift. .

Emergency Stop buttons are located on each control panel and one each side of the truck chassis. Emergency Stop buttons at the control panels in the driver’s cabin will shut down the hydraulic system only. All other Emergency Stop buttons will shut down the hydraulic system as well as the truck engine.

Main Distribution BoxAll major electric cables converge in the main distribution box where all major relays and all major connection - and fuse-terminals are established to ensure easiest trouble shooting and maintenance. The water-and dust proof main distribution box is located beside the truck chassis. In addition to the standard fuses a Master Circuit Breaker in the main supply line protects the electrical system from overloads. All connection terminals, relays, wires and switches are clearly identified.

LightingHeadlights, tail/stop, indicators, reversing and driver’s cabin lights are the original truck lights.

Additionally provided lights according to the following summary Two floodlights to cast platform shadow to the aircraft. Four red position lights are mounted at the top corners of the external van body connected to the original truck-lights. One amber beacon light mounted accordingly to your request.

Hydraulic system Hydraulic power is provided by a pump coupled to the PTO on the gearbox. For the case of system failure an auxiliary 24V hydraulic power unit is provided by, backed up by a hand pump located in the Emergency Operation Box (EOB). The auxiliary power unit pump is located on the tank top.

During operation the vehicle is supported by 4 hydraulic stabilizers fitted in pairs behind front and rear axle of the truck chassis. The system incorporates high pressure and return filter.

The hydraulic tank is fitted with breather, magnetic drain plug, level / temperature gauge return spin–off filter and a shut-off valve for easy maintenance on the gear-pump.

AGRIQUIP installs it’s hydraulic system using steel pipes wherever possible to guarantee maximum strength of the piping and cooling of the oil. To minimize vibration on the piping system all pipes are mounted by plastic clamps.

Hydraulic controls and safety features• Main hydraulic components are protected and easily accessible beside the truck chassis.

• A hydraulic by-pass circuit minimizes heat building up in hydraulic system.

• Main hoist cylinders and stabilizers are each fitted with pilot-operated check-valves to prevent instant lowering or retraction in case of pipe or hose bursts.

• All hydraulic controls are located inside the EOB at ground level.

• All hydraulic solenoid valves can be as well manually operated.

• All pressure relief-and pilot check valves are of the In-built type.

• All hydraulic filters are provided with spin-off overload protection.

Surface Protection and Painting• All steel surfaces are sand blasted prior to painting.

• All surfaces have a minimum of two primer coats prior to final painting.

• All external surfaces have a minimum of two coats of enamel paint.

• The guard for the body-control panel on the van-body, the safety-fence supporting the front

platform and the guards on the refrigeration system as well as the complete structure of the

front platform hot-dip galvanized prior to painting.

• To maximize corrosion prevention Tuff-Cote long-life conservation is applied from the truck

chassis via scissors system up to the under- cover of the van-body floor as well as inside the

front and rear columns of the van-body.

• Chassis is painted in black gloss.

• Stabilizer pads, tow-bar, maintenance prop + wheel chocks are painted in red. (IATA)

• Scissors and stabilizer covers are painted in safety black / yellow chevron. (IATA)

• Drawing and layout of the final color scheme are according to your request.

• Logo sticker 3M is provided on both van-body sidewalls.
