Our application allows its users to send vocal commands, using SIRI, like

“ SIRI, Start Engine! ” and the old phone inside the car will be communicated about the command, through Wi-Fi or Network carriers.

This phone then connects to the car circuit and performs the desired operation, in this case, Ignites The Engine.

This application not only mediates re-usability of the old iPhone, but also provides security to even the most basic models of cars which do not have these highly secured systems.

If given the opportunity, how will you bring this idea alive? What resources would you need to make it happen?

We want to bring this idea alive by executing a small pilot project, with necessary help and support, within the premises of our University.If successful, we’ll extend our experiment in Delhi and NCR area.

What was the thinking behind this idea? What led you to it?

We bought a new iPhone 4s and could not think of What To Do With Our Old 3G Model?

We got the opportunity to attend an Android workshop, and were influenced about programming the iOS similarly

Recently, there has a significant increase in the rate of theft cases of cars in Delhi

Unavailability of GPS systems in basic car models Sluggishness to get out of our houses, climb 4 floors down just to

check if my car engine is off, if window panes are down, or if the car is safe enough

Flabbergasted by James Bond movies viewing high tech-gizmos!!

What will motivate the public to use this solution?

Re-using the old iPhone rather than disposing it off Open Source Software for programmers to customize the software

according to their needs Saving a lot of time and effort which makes it an economical solution Real - Time command execution Knowing the status of car (like windows, door locks etc) without

having to move a step Locate the car with the inbuilt GPS and record noises around the car Regular updates for the application, which would be easily available,

unlike other such products in the market
