myBlinnHow to use myBlinn Portal for Financial Aid

Start by logging into www.my.blinn.edu.

Click on My Records Tab

Click on the link “Financial Aid and Veteran Services

Status”

Select Aid Year & Hit Submit

For Example: 2015-2016

Click the “Personal Information” tab to view your address and contact information.

Click on the “General Information” tab. This will take you to your Financial Aid Checklist.

At the bottom there are links to specific areas of your Financial Aid account, such as your overall Financial Aid Status and award payment schedules.

The Financial Aid Checklist shows which requirements are satisfied and which are not for the aid year.

A indicates that requirement is satisfied and no additional information is necessary.

A indicates an unsatisfied requirement. You will need to click on the link to see what information is needed.

Your Financial Aid will not be processed until everything is satisfied.

Click on Yes or No and submit if you want Financial Aid to cover non institutional charges, such as parking

Click on “Terms and Conditions” tab to complete this requirement for your financial aid. Click “Accept” once you have read through this information.

The “Financial Aid Status” link gives you everything you need to know from your Cost of Attendance, to academic progress, to your Financial Aid History.

Click the “Eligibility” link to review your Financial Aid Requirements, Holds, and your Academic Progress

The “Award” link will go over your awards by term or by aid year. You can also view your payment schedule, previous award history and loan application history, and information on withdrawing from classes.

The “General Financial Aid” link has access to important outside links that may assist you in completing your Financial Aid process and provide you with important information regarding Financial Aid.

The “Federal Shopping Sheet” link provides you with a breakdown of your Costs, Awards, Work Study options, and loan options. This is a helpful tool to use to determine your expenses for the academic year.
