AIESEC Eau Claire | Quarter 1 Report
Let me first begin by saying that Quarter 1 has been an exciAng Ame for AIESEC Eau Claire! We are experiencing growth in all sectors at a scale that has never been seen in a very long Ame. I remember when I first joined AIESEC in the fall of 2009 and had my fair share of ups and downs. Having had the opportunity to be under three very unique leaderships before finally taking the helm, I feel that we have come a long way since then. The saying goes that success breeds more success. There is no greater truth than this. We started this quarter strong, with a tremendous success at recruitment followed by our first realizaAon of a traineeship, a feat not seen in more than 3 years. We went on to represent AIESEC Eau Claire at the Regional OrientaAon Kick Off Seminar (ROKS) with an outstanding aaendance of 30 members, second only to our hosts AIESEC Madison. Let us not forget to menAon that we finally have a magnificent Board of Advisors comprised. It makes me proud to see how much AIESEC Eau Claire has matured into a plaborm for leadership development that is impacAng the lives of UW-‐Eau Claire students.
My ExecuAve Board and I have made a promise to foster a culture of Excellence, CreaAvity and Sustainability within AIESEC Eau Claire and I believe we are holding true to our promise with the performance in Q1. We strive to conAnue our success for the rest of the year. This is the year AIESEC Eau Claire makes that homerun. The foundaAon is set and we only have the stars to shoot for.

Incoming Exchange
AIESEC Eau Claire | Quarter 1 Report
The Vice President’s Report: In Quarter 1 of 2012 was a very producAve Ame for Outgoing Exchange. During this Ame we received online trainings from the Vice President of Outgoing Exchange for AIESEC-‐United States on segmented recruitment and using the updated database of work experiences abroad. From our recruitment we received 12 applicaAons from students at the University of Wisconsin-‐Eau Claire that were interested in going abroad through AIESEC. The Outgoing Exchange team read through the applicaAons and interviewed these students and decided to raise 11 these applicants. During Quarter 1 we already matched 1 of these exchange parAcipants with a work experience abroad. A liHle on Quarter 2: In Quarter 2 of 2012 we have already matched 2 of exchange parAcipants with
work experiences. The total 3 exchange parAcipants already matched will be abroad on their work experiences before the end of Quarter 2, thus realized. Some of the exchange parAcipants recruited has chosen not to go abroad of this summer for a variety of reasons: found other summer work, received a leadership posiAon in AIESEC, or other personal reasons. All of these exchange parAcipants expressed interest in going abroad through AIESEC next summer. We are currently working with the risk management of the University of Wisconsin-‐Eau Claire to figure out which university guidelines AIESEC-‐Eau Claire must follow when sending students abroad, specifically dealing with insurance and travel warnings.
