About AIESEC in Kenya

AIESEC in Kenya was founded in 1970.Our alumni have gone on to accomplish great things in allsectors of society, thus supporting the fulfillment of AIESEC’s mission to create positive change insociety. Some examples include:

AIESEC in Kenya cooperates with many organizations to facilitate the leadership developmentprogramme and international internship opportunities. In2008/2009, 170 internship opportunities were provided through the program and in 2009/2010, 201internships were provided.

AIESEC INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS 2011

The 63rd annual AIESEC International Congress 2011, Kenya is the largest congregationof youth from across the globe in Kenya. It will be a celebration of youth leadership anddiversity presenting the most effective and direct way to position your brand to youth inKenya and globally.

This Congress has a variety of activities in which you can partake to showcase yourachievements, initiatives and future opportunities. This year, we anticipate having:

· 10 day conference agenda full of leadership trainings, functional workshops onteam management, strategic planning and balance scorecard amongst othermanagement tools training for AIESEC leaders

· 600 youth leaders representing 111 countries and territories· 30-50 Senior Business Leaders from 5 continents, from the private and public

sector· 300 business executives and entrepreneurs representing AIESEC’s alumni

network globally· Extensive media coverage both within Kenya and globally.· 2nd AIESEC International Congress to be held in Africa· 7 Major special events that will show case various cultures to the work and one

day dedicated to Kenya the host country

I. Social Conversations Campaign (March-August 2011) Company gets to Design and deliver a sessionon 1 of the 7 topics during AIESEC Social Conversation Campaign. Select the topic of most relevanceand showcase your company’s expertise and initiatives in front of a university audience (+500 studentsattending). Company representative to also participate as a panelist during the Global Youth Forum(August 20, 2011) which will be culmination the Social Conversations Campaign where by a panel will beanswering,’ how can society carve young leaders to be sustainable future leaders’

Engage young professionals and entrepreneurs from East Africa, and around the globe, byshowcasing your company’s services, products, investment and employment opportunities. This eventtakes place during the AIESEC Alumni International Meeting. (+200 attendants)

VI. Official Gala Dinner (August 28, 2011): Be the exclusive event sponsor of the last and most formalevent during each AIESEC conference. The Gala Dinner contains the hand-over ceremony from AIESECin Kenya to AIESEC in Russia (Host of International Congress 2012), and the most prestigious awardceremony for the AIESEC network (presented by UBS).

VII. Extreme Eco Challenge (August 29, 2011): Participate in off-setting the carbon footprint of this eventand making it green, safe and sustainable. Be the exclusive sponsor of a campaign to ensure that thecongress leaves a positive mark on Kenya’s environment by participating in our tree planting ceremony.
