Foreword  The OPTIMA series air conditioners manufactured by AIRSYS, are the outcome of

long-term experience on design, manufacturing and service combined with the latest

technology and development of international precision air conditioners.

  These series air conditions are featured with good performance, high quality and

reliability and modern industrial design.

  These series product is specially designed to be used for large and medium size

computer room, internet data center, medical equipments room, library, museum, archive

room etc, where needs precisely temperature and humidity control for all days.

Basic DescriptionOPTIMA is a series of intelligent air conditioning units designed for the high technology

applications having special temperature and humidity control requirement, such as: large/

medium telecommunication room, computer room, switching centre for telecommunication,

dater centre, laboratories for Hi-tech and scientif ic research, precision product

manufacturing area, standard testing and calibration centre, UPS and battery room,

biochemical laboratory, hospital, etc. OPTIMA series can provide constant temperature and

humidify control and pure air supply for these applications.

OPTIMA series units consist of 4 categories:

(1) DXA: direct expansion units equipped with remote air cooled condenser, cooling capacity:

19~72kW, suitable for application where water is not sufficient.

(2) DXW: direct expansion units equipped with remote water cooled condenser, cooling capacity:

21~78kW, suitable for application where cooling water can be provided.

(3) CW : chilled water feeding unit, cooling capacity: 24~120kW, suitable for application where chilled

water can be supplied.

(4) Dual-cooling source: if the unit is equipped with an extra chilled water coil, it is become as dual-

cooling source units.

For each unit above, there are 3 different types for you to select:

Cooling only unit: only cooling function

Cooling and heating: cooing + heating, 2 functions

Constant temperature and humidify: cool ing + heating+ humidif icat ion +

dehumidification,4 functions

The temperature and humidify control range and accuracy for constant temperature and

humidify unit:

Temperature control range: 16~30℃,accuracy:±1℃

Humidify control range:35~80%, accuracy:±5%

All units are completely assembled, tested, and supplied with refrigerant and oil charge in

factory. During installation, only hydraulic and electric connection are required.

Highlights

Frame structures

Unit base and house are made of cold-roll steel sheets, and painted with epoxy powder.

Panels are internally insulated by noise absorption material, and connected with structure

by screws.

Owing to the Standardization and modularization of A1, A2 and A3 cabinets, the units can

be free combinated easily to be a new unit with large cooling capacity.

Fan

The indoor fan is plug in type centrifugal fan with backward curved blade which is driven

directly by motor with newest EC technology. The fan is speed controlled and has a high

efficiency, especially at low speed.

Compressor, humidifier, control system and safety protection device are placed in the

place separated from the air flow and are easily accessible through hinged doors.

All components can be easily inspected and maintained by opening the panel at the front

of unit .

OPTIMA series units are designed and manufactured according with GB/T 19413-2003,

and comply with EC 98/37, EC 89/336, EC 73/23, EC 97/23,etc relevant standard.

Air filter

Filter is made of washable and removable fiber-pad folded filters.It has a series of

properties like higher filtering efficiency, low resistance, washable, easy replacement.

The filtering efficiency is up to G4 and the filter is equipped with an advanced differential

pressure switch to monitor the dirtyness, if necessary, there will be an alarm produced to

remind customers to have a maintenance to the filter.

Advanced dehumidification and humidification system

The dehumidification is specially realized by reduce the heat transferring surface of the

cooling coil and is controlled by microprocessor. This dehumidification method is featured

with quick dehumidification, high accuracy and high energy efficiency.

The humidifier is the advanced electrode type with proportional control and is featured with

small dimentions, fast response, high stabilization and high accuracy. The humidifier is

equipped with multi protections with alarms and relative accessories.

The intelligent automatic flushing and de-scaling function make it more reliable and longer

working time.

Electric heating system

The unit is equipped with electric heater which is made of stainless steel tube with fins

around it.

The electric heater has a low heating density on its surface and is equipped with thermostat,

running reliable and safe.

Advanced microprocessor control system

Unit is equipped with advanced microprocessor control system (Chinese and English

language can be chosen), so the status of each component on the unit can be monitored at

any time.

The display of microprocessor can show indoor temperature,humidity, unit working status,

total working time of each component, fault status, etc.

The microprocessor also can have the following functions running rotation for many units,

remote network monitoring and control, weekly scheduled On/Off of the unit, and auto-

restart after a power failure.

Sophisticated remote network supervisory

The unit has a powerful network function, so it can be easily connected with remote

supervisory system.

The unit uses the widely used open communication protocol and can be easily connected

with the building automation system.

Multi-protection

The unit is perfectly protected by microprocessor system and a lot of protection components

to make it reliable working for a long time, such as: high and low pressure switch, high

pressure transducer, discharge temperature sensor, filter clogged switch, thermal protection

switch for compressor and fan, electric heater, humidifier etc.

When there is a protection, there will be an alarm generated to remind the service people.

The alarms is divide into 2 categories, in which one is indicative that means there is a

abnormal running conditions but the unit can still go on for running and you should have a

check to confirm if it is necessary to have a maintenance or treatment and the other one is

serious that means the unit must be stopped to protect the unit from damaged.

Directly expansion cooling unit DXA , DXW

Compressor

The units (DXA and DXW units) are equipped with one or two scroll compressors with

the latest technology to have a high efficiency and reliability and with the features of low

vibration and low noise level, better anti liquid slugging, high volumetric efficiency.

Refrigeration system

The refrigerant system is designed according to China standard and also confirm main

Europe standard and ARI standard. The refrigeration circuit includes external balanced

thermal expansion valve, filter&drier, sight glass, pressure sensor; all of these components

are come from international famous manufacturer.

Evaporator

Evaporator is made of hydrophilic alluminum fin and copper tube with inner screw and is

divided into multi-evaporating circuit. The refrigerant is distributed by a special designed

distributor to allow even distribution of refrigerant of each circuit. This assures high

efficiency of evaporator and small size.

Outdoor unit

For OPTIMA DXA or DXW series units, the remote condenser is an integrant part of the

unit, only connecting with this section, the unit can be used. There are 2 types of remote

condenser, one is air cooled condenser which is to be matched with DXA unit and the other

one is water cooled condenser which is to be matched with DXW unit.

DXA air cooled condenser

DXA unit is equipped with air cooled condenser, for which the condenser fan is speed

controlled according to the high pressure of refrigeration system. The fan speed control

system makes the system working more smoothly and more efficiency and low noise when

working at low speed.

DXW water cooled condenser

Remote water cooled condenser is an integrant part of the DXW unit, and it consists of

tube-in-tube condenser or shell and tube condenser, water flow regulator valve, etc.

The outer structure of condenser is made of galvanized steel sheet, painted with epoxy

Optional and its specific function

Over version- air delivery plenum

For the OPTIMA over version unit, the air plenum which is matched with main unit is used to directly

distribute the supply air from top of the unit. There are air grills installed at the outlet of plenum and

there is sound insulation material on the panel inside to reduce the noise of supply air.

Floor stand

The floor stand is height adjustable with the range from 250 to 300 mm and can be used for both

down flow unit or up flow unit.

For the OPTIMA under version unit, provide the adjustable floor stand according with customer

requirement, its adjustable range is 250-350mm.

Condensate water pump

The condensate water pump is to be installed at the lower part of the unit, including water tank,

pump, motor, and auto-control components, each component is an integral part of the pump group.

The pressure head of the pump is 58kPa.

This option is needed when the unit is installed at a lower level place and is difficult for condensate

water to discharge.

Other alarm function

Water leakage alarm

Smoke/fire alarm.

Water flow regulator valve automatic adjusts the condenser water flow according to the condensing

temperature or pressure. Remote water cooled condenser can be installed indoor or outdoor.

Chilled water cooling unit

3-way regulator valve

3-way proportional regulator valve used in the CW unit can properly adjust the cooling load, and

make the cooler cooling capacity matching with real load. If necessary, this valve can be manual

controlled.

2-way motorized regulation valve

2-way proportional regulation valve used in the CW unit can properly adjust the cooler surface to

have the forced dehumidification, and is featured with perfect dehumidification efficiency, energy-

saving and high humidify control precision.

Cooler

Cooler is made of hydrophilic aluminum fin and inner grooved copper tube.

Air cooled condenser

According to the type of condensser fan, we have two types of air cooled condenser named with CME and

CMC. And each size of the air cooled condenser has standard and low noise version for you to select.

The condenser can be installed horizontally or vertically according to the outdoor conditions. The

CME type condenser is equipped with axial fan, and its power supply is 1ph-220V/50Hz. All the

control components, fan speed regulator are installed in the indoor unit. The fan speed is controlled by

microprocessor installed inside indoor unit.

CMC type condenser is equipped with centrifugal fan. If freely heat dissipating condition can not be met,

CMC condenser is a good selection. Normally the CMC condenser is installed indoor. Because the CMC

condenser has a higher external air pressure, so, you can install air duct at the air outlet of the unit in

order to exhaust the hot air of condenser to outside.

More detail, please contact with Airsys technical department.

CME type condenser is standard for OPTIMA units and but CMC condenser is an optional.
