For new residents or ones that have not participat- ed before here is how it is nor- mally done. There are sign up sheets on the West Hall bulletin board. There are spaces for 12 at each table. One person or couple decides to be table hose/host and they will be re- sponsible for getting those peo- ple together and deciding who should bring what and also col- lecting the money. The turkey, gravy and coffee are furnished. The cost is the same as in the past years at $3.00 per person. The tables will be set up by Wednesday noon on the 23rd to decorate if you so desire. We will open the doors at 11:00am and dinner will be at 12:00. Once again, our thanks to the Ives and Peers for volunteering to cook the turkeys and making the gravy and coffee. Prizes will be awarded at the Christ- mas Party. So when the snow starts to fly up north, and the sun shines in the Villas, lets light up the season again this year. Peter Piper Pizza Monday November 14thAladdin Villas residents are invited to a pizza and saladbar lunch at Peter Piper Pizza on North Conway at TwoMile Road held on the second Monday of every month.Those having birthdays or anniversaries during themonth will be recognized. Cake and ice cream will alsobe served and if you bring your Peter Piper mug yourbeverage is free. If you are new to Aladdin this is a goodway to meet your neighbors. No sign up is necessary-just show up. Garage Sale It’s time to check our closets, cabinets and garages tofind those clean, gently used items for our semi-annualgarage sale. Remember those having sales from theirhomes must have a permit from the City of Mission.Permits are available at the City of Mission offices.Tailgaters do not need a permit. Please bring your clean gently used items to the ball-room on Wednesday and Thursday, December 7th and8th. On Friday, December 9th, we will have a presale forAladdin Villas residents only. Please wear your nametags if you plan to make purchases. The time will befrom 2 pm until 4 pm. No early sales. Saturday, December 10th, we will have our open tothe public sale. The time is 7 am until noon. Biscuits &Gravy breakfast will be available from 8:00 to 9:30 am.

55 Alive Class The first 55 Alive class of the season will beTuesday, December 6th from 8:00 AM to noonin the Hacienda Room. Insuance companies insome states only recognize a 4 hour course andothers only an 8 hour course. Texas recognizesonly the 4 hour course and this is a 4 hourcourse. The cost is $12 for AARP members and $14 fornon-AARP members. You must have yourdrivers license and AARP membership numberto get the discounted rate.Please be on time (or maybe a little early) so wecan get the registration complete as we have alot of material to cover in just 4 hours. A married couple, both 60 years old, were celebrating their35th anniversary. During their party, a fairy appeared tocongratulate them and grant them each one wish. The wifewanted to travel around the world. The fairy waved her wandand poof--the wife had tickets in her hand for a world cruise.Next, the fairy asked the husband what he wanted. He said, “Iwish I had a wife 30 years younger than me.” So the fairypicked up her wand and poof--the husband was 90.

Veteran’s Day Luncheon We have approximately 30 tickets remaining for

the Veteran’s Day Luncheon. This is going to be thebiggest and best one yet! If you haven’t got yourtickets, Contact Louise Pfahl, 5065 Virgo, 858-6124.The Sharyland JR ROTC Honor Guard will bethere, so will our Aladdin Villa Choir, and guestspeakers from the Texas Veterans Land Commis-sion. We will be doing something special to honorour Aladdin Villas WWII Vets. And, a special songwritten for our WWII Vets will be sung by our ownJudy Alexander. There will be some great door priz-es handcrafted and donated by our own Ray Pals.There will be a lot of “other stuff” from some of ourveterans that you will want to hear. . Baked ham,potato casserole, green beans. .on the menu. It startswith a great and beautiful opening ceremony withthe 11th hour traditional ceremony.
