5th Project Meeting in Portugal

Daugavpils Saskanas school, Latvia (The First Year of the Project)

SeptemberWe launched our project!

• We signed the agreement with National Agency

• Announced the project at school

SEPTEMBER

• We developed regulations and a questionnaire to select students-participants

• We formed national group

• Assigned responsibilities

• We created GoogleGroup for communication and sending videos

eTwinning

A lot of our students have already had some

eTwinning experience

We add students on eTwinning portal and provide

some information about eTwinning in general and

how to work on TwinSpace for those who haven’t

participated in eTwinning projects before.

1st Project Meeting at School

We introduced our project to local community

We published information about the project (aim, activities, partners ect.):

SEPTEMBER Project Board

Ludmila Ulinska and Lubova Ilishko assisted the students

Project Logo

• Aleksandra Vagele prepared a video ‘How to Create a

Logo’ using the programme CamStudio and sent it to

students (GoogleGroup, TwinSpace)

• Ludmila Ulinska organized a short meeting to answer the

students’ questions and try LogoGarden

• Students created logos at home using LogoGarden,

PhotoshopCS6 or just drawing

NOVEMBERThe 1st Project Meeting in Portugal

Before the meeting we prepared presentation about our school, learned some information about the place we are going to visit.

It was the most important meeting for us because:

• we met each other for the first time

• set the project's ground rules

• learned so many thing about the screencast programmes such as Jing, Snagit, Camtasia and Lucidpress.

After the Meeting• we shared experience with our colleagues at

school• shared impressions on project blog• wrote an article about the meeting for local

media• Created project Facebook Group - FLwICT

Local Project Activities

Before each activity we follow the same procedure:

Write regulations (content, aim, deadline), it is approved by school headmistress and put on the project board

Teachers create video on the topic and send it to students via GoogleGroup, TwinSpace and Facebook Group

Teachers hold a consultation for students to explain what is not clear

Students work (usually at home) and share on Facebook Group

DECEMBERPreparing a digital postcard and a movie

• Aleksandra Vagele and Natalija Dektereva were responsible for December activities. So, they created a video ‘How to make a digital postcard’ using Movavi Screen Capture Studio and then ’How to make a movie?’ using PowToon

• Teachers sent videos to student via GoogleGroup, TwinSpace and Fasebook Group

• Aleksandra and Natalija held a consultation for those students who had questions

DECEMBER

• Students created digital postcards using

• Then students made videos about our school and share

them on Facebook Group

JANUARYProject Meeting in Italy

JANUARYBefore the Meeting students:

Got ready to present project logo

• Prepare presentatin about the school and after-school activities

• Communicate with their host families

• Watched videos on TwinSpace or Facebook Groups prepared by teachers

JANUARYBefore the Meeting teachers:

• Assisted and guided the students (Dace Plocina)• Held meetings with students to explain the topic and the aim of the

meeting (Dace Plocina, Tatjana Revina)• Sent informational letter to parents (Tatjana Revina)• Created a video on Ethics&Copywright Issues and shared it with

students via TwinSpace, GoogleGroup and Facebook Group (Tatjana Revina)

• Make sure students get acquainted with all the videos about Internet Ethics created by partners

• Kept in touch with Italian Coordinator to provide all the necessary information (Tatjana Revina)

After the Meeting we:• held a short meeting at school to share the

experience• shared our impressions on the project blog• gave information to local media about the visit

FEBRUARYProject Meeting in Spain

Before the Meeting students:

Created a video about Latvian Culture

• Prepared a Folk Dance and how to teach it

• Made presentation about Latvian Cuisine

• Communicated with host families

Teachers:• Prepared a video ‘’What is Culture’’ and sent it to students via

GoogleGroup and TwinSpace

• Held meetings with students to explain the topic and the aim of the meeting (Ludmila Ulinska, Tatjana Revina)

• Helped the sudents with all the preparations (Ludmila Ulinska, Tatjana Revina)

• Kept in touch with Spanish Coordinator to provide all the neseccary information (Tajana Revina)

• Uploaded all he videos on TwinSpace (Tatjana Revina, Ludmila Ulinska)

After the Meeting we:

shared experience with our colleagues at school (Tatjana Revina)

wrote impressions on project blog (Tatjana Revina)

sent an article about our visit to local media (Ludmila Ulinska)

MARCH An e-book about the students’ country culture

• Lubova Ilishko made a video ‘How to create an e-book’ and sent it to students via GoogleGroup and TwinSpace

• To create the video the teacher used the programme MovieMaker

• Lubova Ilishko held a consultation for those who needed help

• Students worked in groups to create an e-book and shared their work on GoogleGroup and Facebook group
