What is assistive technology? According to Wikipedia assistive technology

refers to any item, piece of equipment, or product system, whether acquired commercially or modified or customized, that is used to increase, maintain or improve functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities.

Laws regarding to assistive technologyThere are numerous of laws regarding

assistive technology and they change daily. It is very imperative to keep up with the changes: Americans with Disabilities Act The ADA prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in employment, state and local government.

Laws:Individuals with Disabilities Education

Act (IDEA)

This law, was known as the Education for All Handicapped Children Act

Children and youth with eligible disabilities would have a free and public education (FAPE) available to them.
