1. Diagram of drying and initial heating of »TOGODUR - S«
From 20°C to 120°C raise the temperature for about 25°C/h and maintain it at 120°C for
minimum of 15 hours.
From 120°C to 240°C raise the temperature for about 50°C/h and maintain it at 240°C for
minimum of 10 hours.
From 240°C to 550°C raise the temperature for about 50°C/h and maintain it at 550°C for
minimum of 10 hours.
From 550°C raise the temperature for about 50°C/h until the operating temperature is
reached.
2. INSTRUCTION FOR PREPERATION AND INSTALLATION OF CONVENTIONAL REFRACTORY CASTABLE »TOGODUR - S«
2.1. Conventional refractory castable TOGODUR S is prepared in a clean »planet«
(horizontal) type of mixer with addition of clean water in the range of 11 to 15 lit/100kg, depending of the climate conditions.
2.2. Minimum mixing time should be 5–6 minutes at the minimum temperature of 5°C. 2.3. Models and forms in which the material is cast into must be clean and oiled. 2.4. Preparation and installation of castables must be completed in the shortest term
possible, preferably in one turn. In case of a longer installation interruption, it is necessary to appropriately prepare the surface of the installed castable because of the better adherence of the next layer.
2.5. During installation, it is necessary to get out as much air as possible. This will be achieved by vibrating by form vibrator or a vibrating needle.
2.6. After determined amount of time the castable start heating up and due to that fact it is mandatory to spray the surface with water or cover it with wet cloths for a minimum of 24 hours.
2.7. After hardening, the model or the form is to be removed. 2.8. In case of installation on greater surfaces, it is important to pay attention to
dilatation.
