WHAT IS BULLYING?�When another student intentionally tries to or actually hurts you or makesyou feel bad.

�That student will not stop bothering you and you are not bothering him or her.

HARASSMENT�When a student bullies another student just because he/she belongs to a different group of people.

�We are all different and should embrace those differences and how we are alike!

THE MANY FACES OF YOUR FRIENDS!!!

Race/Color – Black/African-American, Caucasian/White, etc.

Ethnicity/Nationality – Hispanic, Middle-Eastern, Chinese, etc.

Religion – Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Sikh, etc.

Disability - Physical or other concerns that need assistance.

Gender – Being a boy or girl

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

You see a classmate in a

wheelchair being teased and

punched at school.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?A student who wears a covering over her head

because of her religion. A couple of students pick on her each day by trying to pull off her head covering

and calling her names.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?You are standing at the bus stop and another

student takes your picture. She says she is

going to put your picture on Facebook and post that

you are ugly.

CYBERBULLYING�Bullying, harassing or threatening another student on the computer, phone, text, email, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

�It is much easier just to respect and be kind to each other!!!

IF YOU ARE BEING BULLIED OR SEE SOMEONE BEING BULLIED:

TELL AN ADULT!!!

TELL THE PRINCIPAL, TEACHER, BUS DRIVER, STAFF MEMBER, YOUR

PARENT, OR OTHER ADULT!

NOW, LET’S REVIEW THE REPORTING FORM

DON’T BE A BYSTANDER –BE AN UPSTANDER!!!

If You See Bullying:

�Don’t stand there and egg-on or participate in bullying.

�Go tell an adult.

�Make the student being bullied a friend.

�Do Something!!!

DOING THIS WILL NOT HELP:

�Bullying another student

�Fighting the bully

�Bringing a weapon

�Asking another student to fight for you

�Stop coming to school
