Stefana (頭冠 ): Groom and bride would have a crown with a white ribbon seize together.
Koufeta (喜糖 ): This candy have a sugar coated as white or pink color. Usually they’ll put almond but now they also put orange, lemon, strawberry and chocolate. Before the wedding day, we’ll put these candy in a pocket named Boboniera around nine to eleven to the guest on that day.
Before go the church, an unmarried man will hold a silver plate with a pair of brand new white high heels , petal and uncooked rice to the bride.
Then, the unmarried man would let the bride to try on the high heels, once the bride says “it’s not fit ”, the unmarried man have to put some money in it.
The bride will write some name of single ladies on the sole of shoes blessing them can get marry soon.
Candle: Prepare for two big and white candle to the church before the bride and groom. Besides, prepare another two small candle for best man and maid of honor.
Goblet: For groom and bride to toast.
Bridal bouquet: A decoration in church and
new house.

Procedure
On the wedding dayBefore the wedding day, groom and bride can’t see each other especially the wedding dress.
Best and groom’s friend will shave off the bread and comb
the hair of groom. Then, put the wedding suit on the groom.
Bride will do the makeup and hair in her home, also bride’s friends and relative will do it for the bride.
When friends come for greeting, they’ll play the traditional Greek music.
Bride’s parent and relative will put some money in bride’s shoes. Symboling money will assist their marriage.
The groom will hold the bride bouquet at the
gate of church until the bride arrive then give it
to the bride.
Durning the crowning, priest will put the stefana(頭冠 ) on their head, then best man will switch the crown three times. The stefana and two seized ribbon symbolize the groom and bride.
The priest will lead the newly wed with stefana around the table. Then relatives will spill uncooked rice on their top of head which means having many children.
After the ceremony, newly wed will kiss and goodbye their guest at the gate of church.
They’ll send Boboniera to the guest and it must be sent by single lady. If the guest get a odd numbers of Koufeta which means the newly wed will stay forever.
For those single ladies who get the Koufeta, if they put a Koufeta under their pillow and dream a male on that night, that man would be the Mr. Right.
