Haydon Celestia as a two old in 2016

Haydon Celestia is a smart bay mare who started well in young horse chukkas in December 2015 and in the Autumn of 2016. She is very handy and has a promising future, playing on a loose rein. Her two half-brothers by Acres Destiny were sold at the stud’s 2011 Colt sale. She is Haydon Celestial’s second filly foal and her first, Haydon Aurora started so well in young horse chukkas she was sold straight into polo. Her full brother Haydon Galaxy was purchased by the Stevenson Family for polocrosse and her 2014 filly Haydon Celesta will be started in 2016. Haydon Celestial was a mare of exceptional ability, winner of prizes including Champions at Scone and Scone League in 2007 when she was placed first ahead of Haydon Angel Jewel who was second. She played at Ellerston and chosen to be ridden by Peter Haydon when VIP at Scone Horse Festival 2009. Jamaica her half-sister in blood was BPP at the 2011 RAS Test Match and the winner of numerous polo awards & owned by Joe Curran. Other family members include Haydon Olivia who played the 40 goal at Ellerston, Haydon Star Night and Haydon Ballet who were both winners of the Sledmere Cup.

A strong female line going back to Haydon Eulalie, JB Haydon’s top polo mare, Haydon Twilight rated by FB Haydon as one of the best he had ridden and her mother Haydon Thora who won many of the original campdrafts back in the 1920’s. The family goes back to Flirt by Eclipse in the 1880’s and her daughter by Haydon Tester.
