DESCRIPTION

This study was designed to accomplish three major objectives. These were: (1) assess the comparability of international expenditure statistics and the validity of international comparisons based upon them; (2) to quantify the effects of deviations from common standards for a select group of economically developed countries in the OECD; and (3) to improve the quality and comparability of expenditure data and indicators in future indicator publications.
