Introducing Ms. Nona Kilgore
I was born in Armenia.
Armenia is located east of Turkey and north of Iran.
Armenia
Armenia was the first country to formally adopt Christianity – 4th Century AD.
Over many centuries, Armenia was part of several empires – Roman, Byzantine, Arab, Persian, and Ottoman.
In 1920, Armenia became part of the Soviet Union and remained in the Soviet Union until 1991.

My mother lives in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
I have three brothers, but only one is still alive, living in Yerevan, Armenia.
My Family
I am married to Linroy Kilgore, who works at GSIS, in Technology.
My Family
My bachelor’s degree is in music education, from the Yerevan State Conservatory in Yerevan, Armenia.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1995.
My goal is to start work on a master’s degree in education.
Education
During and after college, I was a professional opera singer.
From 1998 to the present, I have been a music teacher.
In 2003, I began teaching in international schools. First in Uzbekistan, then in Egypt, and now in Korea.
Work
I speak five languages. Armenian : Native Russian : Native English : Fluent Uzbek : Conversational Italian : Beginner
Languages
I have been a Christian since 1999, when I started following Jesus Christ.
I work hard to live a life that is pleasing to my Lord.
I was so happy to come to GSIS because it is a Christian school.
