ParaphrasingYou can use the words someone said or wrote if you rewrite them in your own words. This is called paraphrasing.

QuoteTo quote means to repeat words that a person or character said or wrote. It’s usually okay to quote someone, as long as you place the words in quotation marks and give credit by writing the person’s name at the end of the quote.

Common KnowledgeCommon knowledge is information that you know or can be found in lots of places. They include dates, names, places, and scientific or historical facts.
