MANUALLY UNPACKING THE SWITCH BC SETS
If any particular table is throwing error during Activation of switch BC set , what needs to be done is we can
manually go and unpack the data records present in the respective Switch BC set and then save it. For instance:-
As of now HRASR_T5ASRFSCNFPMCONF_REN_01 & HRASR_T5ASRFSCNFPMCONF_REN_02 are
the switches that throws error. If we look at the data packed under the error table in transaction SCPR3, we have
the following records:-
HRASR_T5ASRFSCNFPMCONF_REN_01
HRASR_T5ASRFSCNFPMCONF_REN_02
-
Considering HRASR_T5ASRFSCNFPMCONF_REN_02 data packed, lets take the 1st record. ( screen shot above )
Form Scenario : SHI1_WD
Version : 0000
config identification: WD_HRASR_SHI1_FORM
form type : F ( form)
Steps for manually inserting the entry:-
Go to HRASR_DT transaction
Open the respective form scenario with version 0000.
Go to edit mode and then click EDIT in the FORM section.
Add the provided data in the FPM configuration table and then save it.
Follow the above steps to manually add all the 5 records of HRASR_T5ASRFSCNFPMCONF_REN_02 & 6
records of HRASR_T5ASRFSCNFPMCONF_REN_1 and save each record.
Do these steps in Development system and once done, transport the requests to Test systems.
Few queries from Customers in the Past:-
1) We have done the required changes guided above and still the BC set shows red traffic light.
BC set would show green only when the changes manually done were successfully imported by just activation
of BC sets. As there are few issues with error BC set, we are forced to do these imports manually. So, please
ignore the red traffic light of error BC sets if you have done the manual changes guided above.
2) When will these changes be delivered by SAP so that we dont need to do these manual changes?
The changes have already been shipped by SAP in SP29 EHP7. SP29 has not been released for Customer. Once
shipped and the customer upgrades to SP29, the changes will automatically be updated in Customer system. So
-
when Customer will try to activate the BC set, it would get activated with a green traffic signal. As a result, all
the above manual steps will be imported automatically.
3) Where should we do the manual changes?
Kindly do the manual changes in main DEV system. Transport the changes to the Test systems. In case if
sandbox system is used, ensure that these changes are done and then a sandbox system is created / copied.
