"Heroes for the Cure"
June 2 - Falling Springs Join the VPC team in the fight against cancer.
Woodford County Relay for Life Our team will join other teams in our community tak-ing turns walking or running around the track in this non-competitive event while enjoying games, food, music and camaraderie. If walking or running is not your thing, you can join us in our tent to soak in the atmosphere. Please sign up in the Welcome Center for the ap-proximate time you will join us. We need represen-tation from 7 pm - midnight. At nightfall, all participants will share in a special lu-minaria ceremony to remember those individuals who have been affected by cancer. Candles will be lit in honor or memory of cancer patients, which will be placed around the perimeter of
the track. You are invited to participate in this effort by ordering a luminaria or lantern of love in honor/memory of one who has been touched by cancer. Luminaria or-der forms will be available in the Welcome Center. The overall theme for the Relay this year, is "Heroes for the Cure". VPC's team will focus on our own heroes; those in the congregation who have or have had cancer of any diagnosis. We already know about many of you,
but would appreciate all of you "heroes" contacting Rachel Vasilakes, Carol Dick-ey or Kathy Jones - telling us about your experience.
~ ~ ~ Costume Contest
For those of you that want to be daring and creative at the same time, we will host a cos-tume contest in our tent and judging will be right after the luminary ceremony. If you are interested in participating, please let Rachel Vasilakes, Kathy Jones or Carol Dickey know and we will get you a cape to decorate. Our
focus will be Every Day and Super Heroes so you will have a wide range of ideas to choose from.

tices and procedures that maximize the safe-ty and well-being of minors and others who may be vulnerable. Therefore, the Safe Child Policy has been modified to be more inclusive and is now designated the Safe Environment Policy.
