MAYOR’S ARC

By: Justin Foy

2

• Red sky in the morning, sailors warning. Red sky at night, sailors delight.

• “And boy is it ever a sunset of fate.” Said Joshua Davidson, the Life Boat’s First Mate.

3

• “What’s this I hear?” Said Mr. Davidson. “A little mouse, a little tear.”

• “I’m never going to make it, the pain runs too deep.” Cried a mousy little voice no bigger than a peep.

• “I’m not cool, I’m not hip. I might as well jump ship.”

4

• “A mouse on the road, there’s no turning back.”

• “I’ll flee to an island, where this way is that.”

• “But the sea is too strong, and I am so weak.”

• “I’m capsized with fever, I can’t even think.”

• “I’ll breath my last breath, I’m ready to sink.”

5

So sad. I wonder what will happen to the little old lad?

6

• “Awake my young mouseman, you’re safe home at last.” Said Joshua Davidson, the man from the past.

• “Tell me your name, if it not be to late. I’m Joshua Davidson, The Life Boat’s First Mate.”

7

• “I’m Mayor Mouse Jr. and I’ve lost my stay. My Papa and Mama, they’re all gone away.” Said Mayor Mouse Jr. to his newly found friend, the man who had saved him from an untimely end.

8

• “We had just finished supper - - when I left to play…”

• “With Chico the kitten, on the bow - - by the bay.”

9

• “But when I came back home, and seen what they’d done…

• …I left my poor family, and went on the run.”

10

• “I’m here all alone. My family’s all gone. I have no more reason to keep going on.”

• “Now come on Mayor Mouse Jr., that’s no way to be.” Said our friend First Mate, Joshua D.

• “You can stay at my place, right here, with me!”

11

• “So come on little buddy, jump out of bed.”

• “Open those eyes and sing a song.” He said.

12

THEME SONG• Oh, Boy, help me lift my hands, show me your plans,

help me lift my hands.• Oh, Joy, lift up your hands, wont you hear my plans, lift

up your hands. • Oh, Son, take a look at your hands, let’s use those

hands, let’s make some plans.• Oh, Hun, reach out your hands, get off your cans, and

take a look at your hands.• Oh, Daddy, help me use my hands, show me your plans,

help me use my hands.• Let’s go! Oh baby! Let’s join in the band, and take a look

at our hands!

13

• So I went on my journey, so long, so strong.

• Equipped with the ‘quipest, most splended, best gear.

• Ready to tackle whatever comes near.

• No Fear!

14

•PRESS ON!

•NO FEAR!• My parents are here!• Somewhere…• Back there…• A Window.• A Door.• A Light.

• A crack.• So tiny.

• So new!

• WHAT DO I DO?

• Only a mouse could get through.• Do I go?

• Do I stay?

• Press on!

• Have No Fear!

• Let Go!

15

16

• It’s a BOAT!• It’s an Arc!

17

• “I’m Terry the Tiger, the meanest of the bunch. Step to close and I’m bound to crunch.” Snarled the cat in a hunch.

• “Not afraid of nothin, ‘cept these stripes of mine. No matter how fast I run, I can’t leave them behind.”

18

• “I’m Elly the Elephant. So tiny and small.”

• “Won’t eat nothing. Nope, nothing at all.”

• Elly said with a tear in her eye. She was no bigger than a beach ball, just about knee high.
