ORIGIN OF NANOCOMPOSITE

Toyota central research labs in Japan teamed up with ube industries ltd, a Japanese resin supplier to produce a new composite polymer, consisting of Nylon-6 interspersed with layers of montmorillonite.

• “NANO” Appears to be the catch word today.• Why?• It has led to new developments of Materials

science ,Polymer science ,Electronics and Bio – Engineering, etc.• Same materials can be engineered for new

properties :dramatic changes can be obtained by reducing the size.
