19. Don’t overreach.Keepproperfootingandbalanceatalltimes.
20. Never stand on tool.Seriousinjurycouldoccurifthetoolistippedorifthecuttingtoolisaccidentallycontacted.
21. Avoid accidental starting.Makesureswitchisinthe“OFF”positionbeforepluggingintool.Donotcarryapluggedintoolwithfingeronswitch.
22. Inspect workpiece.Alwaysinspectworkpiecetomakesuretherearen’tanynailsorforeignobjectsinthepartoftheworkpiecetobeworkedon.
23. Plan ahead.Mentallyplanaheadtoprotectyoureyes,hands,body,faceandhearing.Dolayout,assembly,setupwork,materialhandling,andplanningbeforeusingtool.
24. Disconnect tools. Alwaysturntool“OFF”anddisconnectthecordfromthepowersourcebeforetoolisservicedorwheninstallingorremovingaccessoriessuchasblades,bits,orcuttersetc.
25. Maintain tools with care. Inspecttoolbeforeeachuse.Itisrecommendedthatthegeneralconditionofanytoolbeexaminedbeforeitisused.

TheLVCboxmayneedtobelowered3"toprovideenoughspaceforthetopmountingchanneloftheOutfeedRollerMainFrame.ReadthroughtheentireinstallationinstructionspriortomovingyourLVCbox.ThefollowinginstructionswillguideyoustepbystepthroughthesimpleprocedureofloweringtheLVCbox,ifnecessary.

Lowering the Delta Unisaw LVC Box

1. RemovethecoveroftheLVCbox.Taganddisconnectthesix (6)wiresfromtheterminals.
2. Removelocknutsfromthetwo(2)wireclampsandpullthewiresthroughthebackoftheLVCbox.
3. DisconnectLVCboxbyremovingthree(3)5/16"boltsandnuts.4. Locatetoptwo(2)existingmountingholes.Relocatethesesameholes
3"lowerthanoldholes.Markwithcenterpunch.Drill1/8"pilotholestoreducewanderinsheetmetal.Drillthetwonew11/32"holes.Removesharpedgeonholes.
5. TemporarilyremountLVCboxwiththetwo(2)topmountingboltsinthenew3"lowerholes.Tracetheoutlineofthelowermountingholeandthetwo(2)wireaccessholes.
6. RemovetheLVCboxagain.Markandcenterpunchthethree(3)holestracedinStep5.
7. Drillthree(3)1/8"pilotholes.Drill11/32"lowermountinghole.Drilltwo(2)wireaccessholeswith1-1/2"diameterholesaw.Removesharpedgeonholes.

1. PositionandmountwithtapetheenclosedMainFrameMountingTemplatetotherearofTableSaw,asshowninFigure1.SettheBaseLine(onthetemplate)31/2"belowthetabletopsurfaceofthetablesaw.
Important:BaseLinemustbeparallelwiththetabletoporOutfeedRollerunitwillnotworkproperly.
2. Usingacenterpunch,markthefour(4)mountingholesontheTemplate. Drill1/8"pilotholestoreducebitwanderinsheetmetal.Thenenlargeholesbydrillingwith11/32"drilltoaccommodate5/16"mountingbolts.Stepdrillsworkespeciallygoodinsheetmetal.
3. MounttheMainFrameAtothesawcabinetusingtwo(2)studpadsB, alongwith(2)5/16"-18x1"boltsD,(2)5/16"-18nutsJ,(4)5/16"flatwashersHand(4)5/16"lockwashersI.(Handtightenonly.)
Tip:WheninstallingthestudpadsandMainFrameonsomemachinemodels,you’llneedto“hang”thestudthroughoneoftheholes,thenrotatethestudpadintopositionandthreadtheboltintoplace.Usuallythebackofthesawcabinetcanbereachedfromtheopeningonthesideofthesaw.Ontherareoccasionsit’snecessarytolaythesawonitssideandfeedtheminfromthebottom.Figure2.
4. AssembletheLowerMainFrameBrackettotheMainFrame.Mountaslowasispracticallypossible,forbestresults.Itcanbeflippedoverifneeded.Thepointistoavoidanyinterferencesonthecabinet.
Important:DoNotDrillthelowerholesinthecabinetatthistime.5. AttachtheCamsNtotheMainFrameusingCamBolts P and Knobs O
asshowninFigures3&4.6. Install(1)oneofthePivotBoltsQintooneoftheCams,asshownin
Figures4&5.ThensliptheRollerFrameontothisPivotBolt.SwingtheFrameintopositionbetweentheCamsandthreadtheotherPivotBoltintoplace.Refertophotostogetthecorrectorientation.
7. AttachtheAdjustmentPlateLtotheundersideoftheRollerFrameasshowninFigure11using(4)four5/16"CarriageBoltsM,washers,lockwashersandnuts.UsecaretoorienttheAdjustmentBolttothe‘front’asshown.
8.PivotRollerFrameoutofyourway.Itcanflipoverontothetopofthesaw.AttachtheSupportArmAssembly K,asshowninFigure6,tothebottomoftheMainFramewithaPivotRod Gand(2)twoAcornNuts.

13.DoublecheckandmakesureRollerSectionismountedlevelwiththesawtabletop(sidetoside).Thenmarkanddrilllowermountingholes.Install(2)5/16"-18x1"boltswithflatwashersthroughtheoutsideofthesawcabinet,withflatwashersH,lockwashers I,and5/16"-18nuts Jontheinside.Tightensecurely.
Note:Beforedrillingthelowermountingholesonsomesawmodelsyoumayfindtheangleddustpanwithinthecabinetbecomesanobstructiontoproperinstallation.YoumaywanttoadjustthepositionofLowerMainFrameBracket.
14.MeasuretheapproximatedistancebetweenthemountingholesontheMainFrameBracket.
15.Fromtheinsideofthecabin,usingthemeasurementfromStep14,measurefromthetopholesdowntodeterminetheapproximatelocationlflowermountingholes.Theymayfallabovethedustpan,belowthepanorstraddlethepan.
16.Iftheapproximatelocationoftheholesfallabovethepan,proceedwithnormalinstallation.Ifthemountingboltswillfallbelowthedustpan,proceedtothenextstep.
17.Ifthedustpanismountedtothecabinetusingscrewsandthestudfallsbelowthepan,thepancanberemovedtocompletetheinstallation.
18.Ifthedustpanisweldedinandtheholeswillfallbelowthedustpan,theboltscanbeinstalledfromthebottom,bytippingofblockingthesawup.Useextremecautionwhenworkingonthesawfromthebottom.
19.PositionCamNsoRollerFrameisinthelowerposition.Makesuremitergaugeguidebarrestslevelonfirstroller.
Re-checkandtightenallfasteners.

StorageHow to Fold Outfeed RollersTherecommendedprocedureforfoldingtheOutfeedRollersistoreleasethelockingmechanismwithyourfootwhileholdingtherollersectionfirmlywithtwohands.(SeeFigure14)MakesuretherearenoworkpiecesoranythingelseontheOutfeedRollerswhenfoldingtothedownposition.Afterthelockingmechanismisreleased,gentlyfoldtheOutfeedRollersdownasinFigure15.
WARNING: KeephandsandbodypartsawayfrompinchpointswhenfoldingOutfeedRollerstodownposition.
