• New selection questions

New Questions in Selection

By using them, you collect all the right information from your applicant

The information you use to search the current Supply & Demand if it fits him

Hard Criteria

Some certain conditions that an application form must have

Based on the hard criteria, you can decide to call a person for an interview or not

It can be: what kind of exchange/background he wants, what countries he’s interested in, his duration, work experience, academic background, languages

Hard Criteria – Academic Background

EP should have a Bachelor Degree

If he doesn’t have a bachelor degree, he can still find an internship (just search internships that have “undergraduate”)

Most common internships for people without Bachelor Degree are Teaching

Hard Criteria – Professional Experience

Especially for Business and Marketing, it is highly preferred to have at least 6 months relevant working experience

If he doesn’t have relevant experience, you must test his academic knowledge in the selection process

Hard Criteria – Languages

He must have at least a B2 for GIP

You can test this with the Language Test

If he doesn’t have B2, offer him GCDP or Speak and a discounted price for a GIP later

Hard Criteria – Preferred Background

Check if what he wants for an internship (background and JD) can be found on myaiesec.net

More on this in the Matchability section

Hard Criteria – Countries preferred

It is really advisable that he choses at least 2 country partners from 2 different regions in the application form

Hard Criteria – Duration

For GIP he must be willing to go for at least 4 months

Only exception is in Teaching – where there can be internship for 2-3 months as well

See when does he want to start his internship: if he wants to start in 6 months from now, there’s no point interviewing him.

Interview a person at a maximum 3 months before he wants to start his internship

Hard Criteria – Decision Making

If he doesn’t fit the Hard Criteria in one of those sections, immediately call him

Try to negotiate on the phone with him with the options

If he still doesn’t want (for example accept another country, or go for a longer period) – you don’t call him for an interview

Matchability

What does it mean?

You must raise your EPs according to what you have currently on MyAIESEC.net, not on what you might think you will have sometime in the future

Matchability

Based on what he filled in the application form, search for TNs that fit his requirements

You have to find at least 30 TNs for him in order to have high chances of matching! (first of all from country partners)

You will show him the TNs at the interview, for him to have good expectations

Matchability

If you don’t find 30 TNs, try finding something similar and showing him options on the interview

For more technical or hard to work profiles (like Engineering, Architecture), do offline matching!
