Prescription for a Safe Community
Medicine cabinets are a popular entry point for teen drug abuse
because they are easy to access, especially during home
showings, open houses, and moving days.
As a Bucks County REALTOR® , you can be part of the solution.
Give verbal instructions on medication safety to the homeowner at
your initial meeting when discussing the safety of valuables
Distribute medication safety tips to the homeowner by incorporating
them into your client’s informational materials
Provide verbal medication safety reminders to the homeowner before
home showings, open houses, and moving day
Provide both seller and buyer with a listing of local disposal
boxes located in Bucks County: tinyurl.com/BCSafeDisposal

Selling Your Home?
Prepare for open houses and moving day by not only securing jewelry and personal
valuables but by protecting your prescription drugs.
Take inventory of the drugs in your home. Consider making use of a Home Medication
Inventory Card to track your current medications.
Store drugs that you are currently using in a safe place or in a medication lock box.
Any medications, including pet medications and over- the- counter drugs, that are no
longer being used or have expired, can be discarded safely at medication disposal
locations throughout Bucks County.
For a list of safe disposal sites visit tinyurl.com/BCSafeDisposal
Safe disposal helps keep pharmaceuticals out of our water supply.
Remember it is important to safeguard your medications everyday.
