MY CAREER THUS FAR...

Rodney was in the position of Structural EngineerRepresentative from the Aurecon Design Officeproviding design support to the Marina WestDevelopment. He was based on site and managed ateam comprised of one Site Engineer and threeStructural Inspectors. Duties include amongst others;reviewing design submittals and calculations,reviewing material submittals and method statements,assessing and answering all structural related RFI’s,verification of all structural shop drawings andinspection of structural works completed.

Rodney was the assistant to the Senior Structural Engineer on site, assisting with site superintending. Duties include amongst others; verification of structural shop drawings and resolving structural queries on site, providing structural advice to the other engineering disciplines, weekly site progress review and inspection with the project managers and presentation of pre-pour reinforcement to the Government engineer for approval. Project Administration of RFIs, NCRs was via web based software “Aconex”.The project value was + $490M USD..

Rodney was the assistant to the Senior BridgeEngineer and Assisted with Bridge ManagementSystems in the Overberg region.Inspected 34 structures: 12 bridges, 18 major culvertsand 4 large culverts. .
