Energy Sources

•Recently wind developers have installed large wind turbines on farms and ranches in a number of states to provide power to electric companies and consumers.•Each turbine uses less than half an acre, so farmers can plant crops and graze livestock right to the turbine's base.•Some of the best wind resources are found on agricultural lands.

Wind Power

•Solar energy can be used in agriculture in a number of ways, saving money, increasing self-reliance, and reducing pollution.•Solar heat collectors can be used to dry crops and warm homes, livestock buildings, and greenhouses. Solar water heaters can provide hot water for dairy operations, pen cleaning, and homes. •Buildings and barns can be renovated to capture natural daylight, instead of using electric lights.

Solar Energy

•Biomass energy is produced from plants and organic wastes-everything from crops, trees, and crop residues to manure.•Crops and biomass wastes can be converted to energy on the farm or sold to energy companies that produce fuel for cars and tractors and heat and power for homes and businesses. •Crops grown for energy could be produced in large quantities, just as food crops are.

Biomass Energy

Transportation

• The most sustainable for our island and is ecologically friendly for the environment.

• The most obvious advantage of electric car batteries is that they don't produce the pollution associated with internal combustion engines.

• Electric cars give off no emissions• These rechargeable batteries recycle

well. Almost 100 percent of these batteries can be recycled, which keeps old batteries from becoming a disposal problem.

Electric Vehicles

•To transport from settlement to settlement we would utilise the roads and use them as much as possible.•Stick with the electric and eco friendly side of things and have electric trucks to as a main transportation vehicle. •Supply the people with any requirements they need within each settlement. •Responsible for the trades that settlements make and will need to transport food, or whatever materials is needed if they can’t be brought to settlements via the ports.

Long Distance Transport

•Our island will have bike lanes throughout each settlement points •Used only with short travelling distances. When travelling around the one settlement of the island.•Quick•Convenient •Helps promote fitness and keep people active and happy•No damage to the environment

Bikes

•Boats located on each of the settlements that have beaches around•Access to boat gives fisherman the best opportunity to catch fish and food for people which produces high source of protein.•Looking to provide for the populations at each settlement.

Boats

•They will be used on the island to export and import goods. There will be two ports located on our island•In the future the GreenPeacePlaneteers would like to build another on the West because it receives the highest rainfall therefore producing the bet source of vegetation.

Ports

•Vital on the island for each settlement to survive •Different settlements will have access to different types of resources •Important the island uses trade as a key factor for sustainably by sharing goods.
