What Changes People?

What Changes People?Experiences are the catalyst for change

Experience/Usability Design is a methodology.

This means that the experience of the user is an approach to our work as opposed to a specific

element within a project. Everybody is responsible.

Experience Design

...is based on the belief that people change their behaviors, actions and thinking in response to

mental input.Good experience design depends on knowing (or

discovering) when, where and how to effect people in a particular manner. In short, it is

driven by psychology.

Designers must adopt methods and language that ties their success with the

business goals of their customers.

In other words, think and act in terms of design giving customers a ROI: a return on

investment.

This doesn’t necessarily mean a flashy site. Engagement can be compelling content,

too. But within that time frame, every site must become relevant and compelling to

that particular audience.

“People are visual learners; if they are not engaged in a site

within the first 10 seconds, they will leave.” (Forrester Research)
