The surveys says that more than 70% of women are desperate to lead their life in their own way in urban areas , but the picture is a bit disheartening of rural areas.
While a woman works at home as a housewife she displays attributes of care, attributes of femininity, and yet be assertive and independent. So care and independence, autonomy and a form of submissiveness that is often associated with femininity , went together and get very much developed together. A woman can take on the world if given a chance to
Abysmally low education attainment ,high drop-out rate.
Lack of awareness on the need for schooling stand in the way of women
getting educated and employed.
Women are disproportionately affected by poverty. More than 1.4bn people
live in extreme poverty and majority of them are women.
The new generation women across the world have overcome all negative notions and have proved themselves beyond doubt in all spheres of life including the most intricate and cumbersome world of. India too has its own pool of such bold and fearless women who have made a mark for themselves both within the country as well as overseas. Their relentless zeal, incessant quench for success and willingness to walk the extra mile have broken all myths about their inborn limitations that were supposed to be major roadblocks on their success expressways .A few powerful women leaders heading some of the major business houses in India as well
Women in the workforce earning wages or a salary are
part of a modern phenomenon, one that developed at the
same time as the growth of paid employment for men; yet
women have been challenged by inequality in the
workforce.. Women's lack of access to higher education
had effectively excluded them from the practice of well-
paid and high status occupations. Entry of women into the
higher professions like law and medicine was delayed in
most countries due to women being denied entry to
universities and qualification for degrees.
The proportion of women in private sector companies is
24.5% of the total workforce compared to just 17.9% of
the public sector. In central government jobs, women
accounted for 7.6% in 1991, which, almost two decades
later, had touched just 10%.
Currently, sport for women represents a fast
growing changing element in Indian culture, and recent trends have sparked a need for knowledge about the female sport participation. ‘Women in Sport’ has been a topic virtually ignored by most scholars and thus female sport participation has been a relatively undeveloped area of research.
There has been lack of encouragement from the parents and family members.
The traditional way of living was a big hurdle for women taking part in games and sports. There was lack of sports orientation of the people living in the society. Taking part in games and sports for women has not been become a common phenomenon.
There had not been a good leadership among physical education personnel and a proper motivating system. It has been clearly found that government college women had expressed more constraints compared to private college women.
It would seem like defining the independent
woman in 2013 would be as simple as just
describing a typical woman. A large
percentage of women are college educated
or on the track to higher degrees, looking for
employment, living in our own places. The
“happy homemaker” is becoming a hard
thing to come across in 2013. So what really
sets a woman apart as an independent
woman?
The true Ms. Independent isn’t necessarily
the high earning CEO of a fortune 500, she is
in fact a woman afraid. Regardless of all the
fears she may have, the true independent

head up and plows forward, not because
she’s accepted these things the world is
telling her but in spite of them.
Being an independent woman today is not
about self-sufficiency but instead is about
bravery. In a world that would seem more
accepting of the independent woman than it
was 50 years ago, there is so much
negativity that surrounds the successful and

The true independent woman fears the judgement of a decision not to become a homemaker, but decides that her happiness comes before society’s judging eye. She does not accept the concept that she cannot be successful and still find love, commitment, and
support. The Independent woman of 2013 is the rare jewel who defines the female counterculture, she is the woman who says if I want it all I will have it all, society be
damned. Whether or not you define yourself as an independent woman, you can take a page from her book.

her is the power to create, nurture and

the problems of running a country.”
