WHAT IS THE CGEA? Certificates in General Education for Adults (CGEA) are accredited certificates allowing young adults (15+) who have not completed a secondary education to improve their literacy, numeracy and general edu-cation. The certificates provide a range of educational oppor-tunities to assist adults meet personal needs, increase participation in the community, access further educa-tion, training and or employment. The certificates CCAE will deliver in 2017 are: Certificate I in General Education for Adults (Introductory) Certificate I in General Education for Adults Certificate II in General Education for Adults Certificate III in General Education for Adults* subject to enrolment numbers WHO IS THIS FOR ? It is ideal with adults who
wish to improve their literacy, numeracy and gen-eral education skills

CCAE Certificate III in General Education for Adults is for young adults 15 years and above. This certificate is de-signed for adults who have left school early and need to improve their literacy, basic maths and general educa-tion skills to pursue further education.
It is ideal for a range of students whose life experiences have limited their access to education, training and em-ployment.
Successful completion of this course will enable you to study a wide range of courses at a higher level such as Accredited Cert III Business & Finance, IDMT, Early Childhood, Ageing Support and many more courses at CCAE or to pursue VET or Tertiary studies elsewhere
