Day 3: Reality-Check

The dynamics of different interests – Real-life simulation

Results – Manifesto 1, the winning manifesto

European Social Party – ESP

The ESP has a strong focus on social aspects that are related to energy issues. Their central point is that environmental care is based on social justice. In order to assure an efficient climate protection all demographic groups are relevant, as energy consumption is not related to earnings.

In addition to this the ESP stands for autonomy in energy production to reduce economic dependencies.

To achieve their goals it is planned to invest in renewable energy, to install European wide environment classes in schools, to support passive houses and to create a tax based on the sustainability of a product or a servie

After a excellent and very sophisticated presentation the ESP won the election with 45% of the votes.

Furthermore the ESP created a remarkable party program of three pages.

Results – Manifesto 2

Partei Europäischen Fortschritts - PEF

The PEF plans to advance Europe to the most important producer of renewable energies.

They want to stick to atomic power plants for roughly 60 years to give the producers of energy the chance to use the earned money to develop better renewable energy. Another goal is the privatisation of state enterprises. This is tied to certain prerequisites like a conclusive concept for environmental and sustainable issues.

In order to reduce carbon dioxide they want to extend the trade of energy certificates.
