David Warren (above), a 2017 graduate in music education, was “a natural on the podium,” says Assistant Professor of Music Lauren Denney Wright. “I watched him audition and be awarded the head conductor of the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps for three consecutive years, as well as win the Jim Jones Leadership award from Drum Corps International in 2014.” David’s student teaching at Rome (Ga.) High School has led to a permanent position as he embarks on his teaching career.
