I have worked as UX/UI Designer since 2010 especially for SaaS and E­commerce websites. The first step that I take is to make a good strategy combining users’ needs and business’ goals. I used to work with these tools regarding the UX and the UI: Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD, Sketch, MarvelAPP, InVision, Optimizely, VWO, Hotjar, Axure, Balsamiq, Google Experiment and Google Analytics. I know perfectly these coding languages: HTML5, CSS3, JQuery. Other skills that I handle perfectly are: Boostrap, Responsive design and code, Magento CMS, JIRA, Basecamp, ASANA. I also have the Magento Front­end Developer certification and I have been working in the e­commerce field for almost 4 years. I improve constantly my knowledge and skills, I am curious person and I also like to work in a team to learn more. I have often worked in agile environment. I am also punctual, creative and precise.

WORK EXPERIENCE

UX/UI Designer As UX/UI designer I was in charge for all the User Experience, User flows, Data analysis, User interface design (Sketches, Mockups, Prototyping and testing). As UX/UI designer my main role here was to improve the usability and net conversions. Keeping in mind Business objectives and User needs I improved some areas of the platform. Once I had Requirements and features specifications, I used to prioritize every feature or new element. I set all the steps of the process carrying out: Information design, Interaction design, sketches, wireframes, lo-fi prototyping, visual design, hi-fi prototypes (Invision or HTML&CSS).

UX/UI Designer ­ Magento Frontend developer I was the Senior UX/UI Designer and Front-end developer for 1604lab.it, an e-commerce web agency specialized in Magento. My first step during the realization of a new project was to talk with the stakeholders regarding their Business goals. After this step I used to make a good competitors review and finally gather Qualitative and Quantitative data from Google Analytics, User interviews and Surveys. After generating Requirements and features specifications I set all the steps of the process carrying out: Information design, Interaction design, sketches, wireframes, lo-fi prototyping, visual design, hi-fi prototypes, coding solutions and testing (during the process with usability testing and after the launch with A/B tests). Knowing very well Magento, HTML, CSS and JQuery I was able to understand immediately the feasibility and the timelines of the projects, prioritizing every new feature or new element in the website. This knowledge about coding is also very helpful during the UX process because I could save plenty of time and money of the web agency. Basically if you are already aware about future issues or other problems, you can think immediately to take another path to achieve the same goal.

UX/UI Designer ­ Magento Front­end Developer ­ Wordpress Front­end Developer I have worked as a freelancer since 2010, I collaborate with some institutions like the F.A.O. (Food and Agriculture Organization) and web agencies like Iblend (iblend.it). I created custom websites for several private customers. Some latest responsive websites are for example ristorantegeco.it, incucinaroma.it, guesthousemeltinsounds.com, escursionigep.it I created these websites in Wordpress, Magento or static HTML and my priority was to deliver the best valuable product keeping in mind the concepts of the User centered design. For each customer I used to make all the UX process and development part.

UX/UI Designer It is a local online information company, it own almost 40 websites for all the principal cities in Italy and 9+ million of fan in their Facebook page. As UX/UI Designer the biggest works that I have done for them was the restyling of the Back-end and Front-end: especially regarding the Homepage and the Article page. I used to analyze data from Google Analytics and collect qualitative data with User interviews, also the competitors review was a big part of the initial process. Another big part of my job was to realize: Information architecture, Interaction design, Sketches, Wireframe, Prototypes (lo-fi and hi-fi), A/B tests, Usability (testing during the realization of new features or sections.)

UX Designer It was the first European “Smart Buying Club” and the third italian couponing website. It was a club of exclusive deals with special prices, only for registered users. As UX Designer my main role was to improve the usability of the deals section and increase the net conversions using techniques like: Urgency and Scarcity.

Teacher ­ Magento instructor ­ E.commerce specialist I gave a lecture during a professional training course of 2 days about UX/UI design in Magento and E-commerce websites in general. I explained why is so important to have a strong knowledge regarding programming languages and platforms like: Magento, Wordpress etc. during the UX process. Furthermore I talked about what were the best solutions or features regarding different business like retail or technology.

DESIGN PROCESS

I deliver an useful, usable and valuable product following these steps: 1 ­ Strategy | Combine User needs and Business goals 2 ­ Scope | Functional specs and Content requirements 3 ­ Structure| Interaction Design and Information Architecture (IA) 4 ­ Skeleton| Interface Design and Navigation Design 5 ­ Surface | Visual Design To make these points work, I need to make a strategic UX Research, it means take interviews with Stakeholder and Users, then Review competitors and analyze quantitative data. After this, I think about what can be improved (Features, Design etc.) and then I prioritize what can make the website/product more valuable for both the user and the business, a product that match or exceed their expectations. To understand better the audience I create Personas and Scenarios and then I start with the Information architecture, interaction design, navigation design and interface design. I am able to create sketches, wireframes, mockups and prototypes. When the website is finished I run A/B tests and heat­maps recording sessions to improve constantly the product.
