catholic Mission appeal: thank you to all

parishioners who generously contributed to the Mission appeal last weekend. A total of $1500 was collected from all 3 Masses last weekend.

MOWING ROSTER it was proposed at the most

recent Parish Council meeting that a ‘mowing roster’ be created to assist with the mowing of St Joseph’s church lawns. In particular with the hot weather approaching, this can be a big job for the few volunteers who currently keep the lawns looking tidy. If you could volunteer an hour or so on occasion to join the roster, it would make the job much more manageable. Please let Fr Anthony know if you are interested.

FOOTY TIPPING RESULTS Congratulations to

Julie Heath (LPN) in winning the comp and $658! Well done!

2nd place winner is Fr Rafter and he nets $329. Third prize of

$164.50 goes to Cliff West (Wombat). Thank-you to everyone

for your support and participation in the comp this year. We had

60 tippers with 46 paid up and one donation. A lot of fun was had

by all and we raised over $1198 for the parish. We hope to be

back next year bigger and better with weekly prizes to keep

everyone engaged till the GF!

FOOD FOR THOUGHT….The Christian at his best lives quietly, easily, restfully, trustfully, patiently, serenely, peacefully, joyously, courageously, confidently.

The Nicene Creed I believe in one God, the Father almighty maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Begotten Son of God born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

The Angelus V. The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary. R. And she conceived of the Holy Spirit. (Hail, Mary) V. Behold the handmaid of the Lord. R. Be it done unto me according to thy word. (Hail, Mary) V. And the Word was made flesh. (all genuflect) R. And dwelt among us. (Hail, Mary) V. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God. R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Let us pray. Pour forth, we beseech thee, O Lord, thy grace into our hearts; that we, to whom the Incarnation of Christ, thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by his Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of his Resurrection. Through the same Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Baptism Baptised today into the family of God:
