Changes we made

• We have changed the middle, were initially the missing clip was.

• We have changed the end, in terms of sound, where the piano takes place.

Why we changed the middle clip

• We changed the middle clip because the passage of the film contained a continuity error, because it was light with the two characters in the shot. Then all of a sudden the two characters are in a shot which is pitch black.

• We changed it so the middle clip would establish that time has passed.

• We also added a soundtrack of a loud thunder noise to fit in with the sky image and the drastic weather change.

What we done to the missing clip?

• I took a clip out of my window into the sky, for about 45 minutes.

• Then I edited the clip on “Final Cut Pro” by putting the “motion” of the clip to “30002%”, so that the clip of 45 minutes was know a 12 second clip.

• This effect showed that time has passed, shown from the sky progressively darkening.

Problems which arose, and how we avoided them

• That the first couple of times I tried filming this clip it rained, do the image wasn’t as good and would not have fit in with the rest of the film. So had to re film the clip 3 times.

• Also the clip was not big enough for the film as I filmed it vertically, so I had to zoom into the sky and then make it fit in with the rest of the sequence.

The sound at the end, the reason we changed

• It was not long enough, to create suspense.• So that there was a significant amount of our

film with soundtrack in it, to keep the audience interested.

• So that the music was progressive which created suspense, along with the images.

What we done

• We made the clip which was initially about 12 seconds long, to a length of about 30 seconds.

• We done this on final cut pro, by copying and pasting the piano sound and putting as a sequence, so it was longer.

• We then made it reasonably quieter so it was clear what dialogue was said.

What problems arose

• When we copied and paste, the sound of the piano kept pausing then starting, so how we overcame this situation was by using “cut” of “toolbar” on “final cut pro” on the start and end of each clip and then joining the sound on to each other so the sequence flowed with out any lagging.
