has failed to meet the criteria set out in the Policy Document on

Non-EEA Family Reunification section. 17.6.

FM:– There is no automatic right for non-EEA nationals who are

(extended) family members of Irish citizens to migrate on a long-

term basis to Ireland.

- It is noted the applicant is an adult and as such, is not normally

considered as an immediate family member for the purpose of

reunification. The Policy Document on Non-EEA Family

Reunification states in section 13.2a that immediate family

consists of a spouse and children under the age of 18. The

Policy Document further clarifies in footnote 11 that the

maximum age can be extended to 23 where the child is in full

time education. The applicant was 21 years old at the time of

application and has not provided a college letter confirming that

they are in FULL TIME education.
