Enquiry& Project Estimation
At the initial stage on receiving the enquiry from the Customers,
the estimation engineers review the drawings and specification
of a project to ensure the accuracy of the requirement before
finalizing the offer. Any clarifications / queries related to the
requirement shall be liaised with the Customer thereby achieving
the accurate estimate. This will also help them to avoid the
potential of future conflicts during the project execution. Using
world class European Software, cost estimation of projects is
carried out by highly experienced estimators. They also liaise
with Sales, Engineering, and QC for clarification and additional
information required during estimation. Our Estimators provide
value engineered solutions to achieve project economy without
sacrificing the technical performance envisaged by the Consultant.
Planning
The planning of the order formally begins after the Sales Order
and Optimization disc containing detailed instructions are released
by the Estimation/Marketing Department to the Production
Department. The Production Manager reviews all the programs
and delegates the Job Order to a particular Section.
2020
Accessories
When the order is confirmed, the technical coordinator liaises with
the Customer to ensure all the requirements are met. High quality
samples and accessories, along with the required supplier technical
data are submitted for the approval. Swift Facades always focus to
ensure that the customer is wholly satisfied with the range of products
offered.
Project Design
The Design department has a highly qualified and experienced team
of Engineers. Using latest software for Structural Design and CAD, our
Engineers provide structurally stable solutions meeting the aesthetic,
thermal, acoustic standards defined by the consultant. All projects are
designed to the highest International codes and standards.
Material Purchasing
Materials are procured from leading and established vendors locally
and globally to ensure best quality standards. New vendors are
included only after they satisfy the strict quality control checks of our
Quality department. Swift Facades procures material based on the
orders prepared by the Estimator and approved by the Production
Manager. Relevant technical information also will be attached to the
orders to correctly describe the specific requirements given. Moreover,
the workflow of the order is always forwarded to the Procurement
Department to ensure the timely manner of material receipt.
2121
Material Receipt
Prior to arrival of material on site, “advice notices” or other shipping notifications
will be received by the Material supervisor. When he receives the material he
checks thoroughly against the requisition and the relevant purchase order to
ascertain that the material meets the specifications and is correct in quantity. All
incoming material is carefully inspected by our quality Engineer to ensure there
is no sign of defect and the same is in compliance with the approved samples.
The Material Supervisor then records the volume and nature of the shipment
and assigns a storage location. The compliant material is labeled and stored
separately to ensure it is used for the correct project. Non-compliant material
if any is returned to the supplier and the company always tries to ensure
that the replacement sources are available immediately without affecting the
project program.
2222
Fabrication
Various fabrication methods are implemented accordingly in order to
meet the requirements. Once raw materials are made into useful parts,
the aluminium fabrication can continue with cutting, grinding, drilling, or
shaping as specified. The best fabrication method shall be chosen based
on the desired output of the Customer. Various inspections and tests are
conducted by the QC team during the fabrication process in regular intervals
thereby avoiding non-qualified products being installed and also replacement
to be done at the same time.
Delivery
Once the Quality Engineer approves the final product of aluminium
profile, the same is then packaged, stored and delivered according to the
criteria stipulated by our quality management system. Prior to packaging
the Aluminium profiles are subjected to the final stages of quality control
inspections, ensuring consistency of our products and the delivery of high
quality of Aluminium profiles. If required by the contract, the Consultant is
to be notified about the delivery schedule so he may inspect the finished
product and confirm that it is to his compliance
Proper storage at Site
Upon receipt of all materials the company, coordinates with the main
contractor to ensure adequate storage space is provided at site for the
proper storage of incoming material. This is very essential to avoid damages
to stored material. Different material is stored in different methods, based
on its geometry and type. We recommend the site supervisor not to store
2323
2424
the materials directly on the ground to avoid damages and sacrificing of
quality. The site supervisor is responsible that all material stored is properly
marked and color coded in accordance with the specification. This color
coding is maintained throughout the storage / construction period.
Installation :
The project engineer prepares the necessary resources required according
to the project to complete the job within the estimated project timeline.
The project engineer then organises the team to execute the work and
ensure the project is achieved.
Any potential problems in the sequence of works are highlighted to the
Main Contractor at an early stage to avoid future clashes and time loss.
The erection process is done in accordance with the accepted industry
standards. These are a combination of the various supplier recommendations,
experience, and technical know-how. The suppliers are often called to the
site to inspect and confirm the fixing is done as per their requirements
to ensure the proper application of their products and to avoid any faults
due to fabrication. Any issues or non-compliance shall be immediately
highlighted to the Project Engineer who shall be responsible for corrective
actions. Final test of the project will be conducted by the Consultant in
various areas to ensure that work is being done in a satisfactory manner
and that no rejections will be made later on that may delay the project.
